Spam caller asking for money, had a think India accent, said it had to do with identity theft, money being owed, & has repeatedly called back now #6 times since his 1st.message. Now, he hangs up on the answering machine. He was very hard to understand, I only could make out a few words out of each of his sentences, but it definitely didn't sound good! He said I needed to return his call immediately and further action needed to be taken. I'm so glad I looked this number up & didn't call them back! Thank you so much for your website!! Who can we report callers like this to? Tash in SC.

I also got a call today from the " Lieutenant William Rice" I called him back and left a messgae and then called the DEA to ask if they had a Lieutenant William Rice that worked for them and she immediatelty told me they ONLY have Agents at the DEA so that should be everyone's first clue. It scared the hell out of me, but now I cant wait for them to call back, the lady at the DEA told me to get as much information as you can from him and then call back with it. They have an office that is investigating these leeches ..

I just got the same call from 202-239-0426 from Lt William Rice from the DEA. Then got a call from a supposed DEA agent in the DR named Julio Santana. He claimed if I did not wire them a $2500 fine they'd issue a warrant for my arrest.Thank God I found these sites and found out this was a scam.Don't give these clowns a dime.

The online pharmacy must have released info to these scammers. I just eanted to tell you, don't send any $ to the DOM. REPUBLIC. My attorney checked t out. The real DEA procedure is quite different than what these assh*les are doing. You aren't in any federal touble.

(202) 239-0426
I got the exact same call as Charlie today; basically "William Rice" of the DEA left a voice mail saying I better call him back immediately to deal with a confiscated drug shipment.I have to admit my initial shock, then I immediately thought scam and googled the phone number they left so that led me here. I'm leaving yet another message to confirm that even more people are being harrassed. I wish it was possible have the real DEA track down the perps and give them a dose of their own medicine.
(202) 239-0426
I just called the DEA in washington this is a scam.
(202) 239-0426
I just got a call today. What should I do? They want $1500 or I will have to go to the Dominican Republic to face DEA charges. I ordered phentermine which was not even phentermine it was a herbal supplement and was not even listed on the shipment as phentermine and they said that they confiscated it but that is funny I received my order in the mail this was back in 2007 or 2008. This guy says he is out of Washington DC at DEA headquarters a Lt. William Rice sounds like he is on a cell phone. I am to send a moneygram to : Julio Santana 600 Gerorge Washington Ave, Moca, D.R. 00809 by 2:30 to 3:30 pm.
(202) 239-0426
OMG! This was the scariest thing ever! I did order some damn diet pills in 2007!!!!!!!!!!! I really thought it was ligit because he had all the information of when I had gotten them. I received one order and one was confiscated. I figured not just any Joe Blow would know about the confiscated one EXCEPT FOR THE REAL DEA! He gave me a court date of June 15th, said if I didn't pay the money today that the DEA in Nashville, TN (which is close to where I live) would send agents after me and they would take me in to custody and that I faced 6 years in a Federal Pen. HE ASKED FOR $3,000! I told my elderly mother who immediately went to the bank and got the money for me. I was about to wire it to the address he told me and Thank the Lord my brother came in and said it didn't sound right! These people really need to be stopped. My mother was so upset and I was hysterical. They are blood sucking horrible people! TELL ME WHO TO GO TO AND WHAT TO DO TO STOP THEM SO NOBODY ELSE WILL HAVE TO FACE THIS KIND OF TORMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(202) 239-0426
Got a call today, this is totally new to me and said I ordered medication from oversea's..What? NOT and to have my lawyer contact them also said I have a court date of June 8th and could face federal time..what? For what? I mean come on now, sounded like he was on a cell phone and when I told him no I did not he again said to have my lawyer contact him and hung up.What a scam, how dare people scare the hell out of people!! for something they didn't do.

FDA Warn Consumers About Phone Scam to Collect Fake Fines7 Jan 2010The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as FDA special agents and other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scam. The criminals call the victims -- who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the Internet or via "telepharmacies" -- and identify themselves as FDA special agents or other law enforcement officials. The criminals inform the victims that purchasing drugs over the Internet or the telephone is illegal, and that law enforcement action will be pursued unless a fine or fee ranging from $100 to $250,000 is paid. Victims often also have fraudulent transactions placed against their credit cards. The criminals always request the money be sent by wire transfer to a designated location, usually in the Dominican Republic. If victims refuse to send money, they are often threatened with a search of their property, arrest, deportation, physical harm, and or incarceration.Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be an FDA or other law enforcement official who is seeking money to settle a law enforcement action for the illegal purchase of drugs over the Internet should refuse the demand and call the FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations Metro Washington Field Office at (800) 521-5783 to report the crime.FDA special agents and other law enforcement officials are not authorized to impose or collect criminal fines. Only a court can take such action, with fines payable to the U.S. Treasury.

It's a scam-- someone says he's an "officer with the DEA" and they've confiscated a bunch of "medication from overseas" with your name on it. You can either go to jail OR wire several hundred dollars to cover your "fine." They've scared hell out of a lot of people with this, and gotten a bunch of money, too. Just ignore it. Or, call back and demand they release your medication or be the sorriest *$##@!s that ever walked the earth (my personal approach). cheers, - Bav

Got several calls from this number.
(202) 239-0426
I recieved a message this past Sunday (mothers day) that stated the following Hello this is Lt William Rice of the Drug Enforcement Administration office in Washington DC Please contact me as soon as possible in regards to a package of medication that we have confiscated. Once again this is Lt William Rice from the DEA office in Washington DC please reach me at 202-239-0426. When I called the number back the individual represented himself as a DEA agent and stated that i could settle the matter for a fine of $850.00 or face time in a federal institution, that I would have a felony record and would serve probation following prision time and that I needed to have my attorney call him. I did have my attorney call him the next day - and he spoke to Richard King who stated he was THE Director of the DEA. Mr. King would not give much information to my attorney was rude and evasive on the phone. My attorney then called the real DEA - and learned that the real Director of the DEA is Michelle Leonhart and that there is no such investigation going on, the DEA does not make such calls, do not give out their names over the phone, would not make people come to Washington DC for court, etc. The real representative of the DEA asked my attorney if the caller was asking for money ? and stated "ignore them", and instructed me to "do nothing" and if what I receive in the mail is suspicious to call them back. The point is this is a prank call a form of spam DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. This caused me a great deal of pain and heartache and scare.
