ASK THE TELEMARKETER IF A PAYMENT IS TAX DEDUCTIBLEActually, The "Corporation for Character" based in Murray, UT is making the calls.http://www.corporationsforcharacter.org/new/aboutus.htmThey are a professional telemarketer hired by CT FOP. Less than 5% of the donated funds are spent on the stated non-profits mission. Any funds paid to this "fund raiser" is not tax deductible...just ask them. Also ask how much CT FOP gets for every dollar "donated".
(203) 713-2676
CT FOP clearly states "We no longer use professional solicitors to make these calls, and 100% of every donation goes directly to the CT FOP" yet I got a fund raising phone call from a Utah firm named "Corporation for Character" claiming to have been hired by the "CT FOP". Yet for some reason a Utah based telemarketer, Corp For Character" claims they have been hired by CT FOP. Less than 5% of paid funds go to stated purpose. Payments arent tax deductible.

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number. It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.ctstatefop.com, you can contact them there with any questions or requests. The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Connecticut police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.
