This number contacted me and stated they were from the United States Grant Funding and that I had been selected to receive $7,000, would I please tell them my bank acct information, or Visa/Mastercard information, or would I like cash? I told them cash, they gave me this phone number and told me to call back in 15 minutes and that I was to have a confirmation number and speak to a Kenny Lawson. Sounds American, huh? NO ONE with whom I spoke with sounded American. I had to have them repeat over and over and over again the information because their English was so broken. Sounded Iranian, Pakistani, or Indian to me. So I called back and they confirmed with me that I wanted the Cash option to recieve my US Grant. Well, I was told to go to my nearest Western Union, call them back, and then they would give me a routing number to send $200. WHAT???? I have to send $200??? Oh, yeah, they aren't allowed to touch that money!!! SCAM!! And I hung up on him when he started spouting these rules that I must under ANY circumstance obey! 1. Do NOT tell the person at WU what I am doing. 2. Do not say anything about receiving grant money to anyone at WU, because, 3. they will charge me a higher rate. NO, NO!! They will advise me that what I am about to do is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!
