Just recd a hang-up (disconnect) call from this nbr. Caller ID says BCPF. Boy do we all get tired of this
(206) 629-8625
Get call from this number but when I answer the call disconnects. Can you tell me who this is and why they keep calling?
(206) 629-8625
It is not a matter of us doing the reseach but a matter of having better business practices. Instead of having computers doing calls that have no life people when we answer they should have someone there. There is no reason for people to research a call they receive, it is not there job. So thank you for the help but a good business practice would be quite the opposite. I would rather answer the phone and have someone tell me who they are and what they want so I can make the decision that way. Do you just call random people and wait for them to figure out why you called or what you wanted? Didn't think so...

Aloha Spirit lives in a state of bliss, but not in the state of Washington, or California, or for any other state that I can think of. It is ethically morally wrong and certainly verges on illegality to run a non-profit (that is, to run it so you do not have to pay taxes to the Fed and so that you can ask for tax deductible deductions) with the greatest bulk going to an individual who "inures' from the relationship.Well James (Jim) Paton of Everette, Washington certainly has a good deal going here. He sets up a non-profit organization with himself as President and then hires a telemarketing firm to raise the money. He also is the President of the Telemarketing firm (Legacy Telemarketing). They share the same address in Everett Washington. The firm calls thousdands of people each day using their automated systesm a huge portion of which for some reason are not even connected to any message, somehow brings in 3.8 million dollars, of which $2.3 million end up in his pocket, not to mention another million expended for expenses which leaves yes, some money left to donate to charity. Aloha . . . . hellloooooooo . . . . That is in direct violation of the intent and letter of the laws which regulate how non-profits are to operate. No matter how you slice that coconut, Jim gets about 70 percent of the sweetmilk of tax-free dollars going to support his many luxury interests and endeavors.I suggest that anyone who suffers from this call the Legacy Telemarketing firm (which created the front BCPF) directly. You may ask for Shane or Jeff Cunningham and maybe ask them why they call so many people using for example all of these phone numbers bcpf calls from 27 phone numbers:208-906-1057 619-374-7701 916-313-4211 310-862-9020 281-520-3775 360-230-1602 425-648-9448 253-246-6401 786-279-4790 253-248-6401 206-629-8625 42564894473 425-648-9447 706-279-4790 206-269-8625 800-950-4695 360-320-3661 786-279-4796 786-279-4797 210-892-0490 786-522-5610 805-309-5517 877-810-5921 704-800-9978 801-246-0600 206-866-1924 866-544-8416 (all of which show up as local calls from BCPF) and just ask them how they actually make money. Here's their number 800-488-4609. and their website http://www.legacytelemarketing.com/ and their address: Legacy Telemarketing2401 Hewitt Ave.Everett, WA 98201The more the merrier. I hope all of you call, all the time. You might want to ask to speak to James (Jim) Paton who wears two hats with one head. Quite a feat if you can get away with it. And that's pretty much what it seems he does quite nicely.

The women who make the calls from this call center known as Legacy Telemarketing are almost all middle-aged and just barely making ends meet with this minimum wage job. This is by far one of the worst companies to work for because, as one other person has said, the supervisors are constantly breathing down these people's necks when their numbers are low and fire people for absolutely no reason almost every day, so the tension in this little building could be cut with a knife. If you don't make at least $60/hr you will get fired. Because Legacy works with a staffing agency called Smart Talent, they pay this company $18/hr for each employee. That means that every single person in the room is costing $18 an hour, with about 40 employees, making just the calling staff alone a loss of almost $7,000 a day, about $2 million a year. When you ask them on the phone how much goes to the cause, they will tell you it's 93%, but that is a lie. If you do some research online, their records for the past few years have not been released (www.bbb.org). I do believe that some of this money does go towards mobile mammograms and organizations of the like, because they have been around for 6 years and somewhere within that, money must be sent somewhere for them to avoid any major scandals. This does not excuse the fact that they lie to every single person that they call and wrench money out of innocent people's hands, calling you at all hours of the day and night, endlessly harassing you at your home. This is my own opinion, but telemarketing is not the way to go about collecting funds. I fully support the Breast Cancer 3-Day as millions of us do, but to be completely honest, a decent percentage of the people BCPF calls says, "sorry, but I already donate to the American Cancer Society" or "Susan G. Komen."I have some news for you....Those two companies are rumored within the company to be where almost all of our leads come from. All I know for sure is that we do BUY our calling lists from other companies, but I have never found solid evidence as to where those lists are from. I have solid reason to believe, especially because of how many people do say they already donate to these companies, that they are the ones selling out your information.Regardless, if you receive a call from this number, your information has been bought. They have full access to your home phone number, first and last name, and mailing address. And regardless of what you say to them, they are going to resell your information to another company. So when they call, I strongly encourage you to answer and politely tell them, "please put me on your do not call list."If you'd like to have an angry word with the company, please call 425-252-3001. You can ask them for yourselves where they claim this money goes to and see what answers they come up with. Either way I can tell you I have seen them opening envelopes in Everett, WA, that are addressed to Florida, Texas, and California. How did they get those envelopes back, and why aren't they in those states? You'll have to do some more research on that for yourself. The address for Legacy Telemarketing is 2401 Hewitt Ave, Everett, Wa 98201. Regardless of what state you live in, they will tell you that's where the money goes to. That's a lie. It gets forwarded to that exact address, or their PO Box.Hope this lengthy bit of information has helped you decide not to donate to the Breast Cancer Prevention Fund. They are clearly trying to hide something.

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sacbee/obitu ... y&pid=127020119This woman asked for donations upon her death to this fund - I think they are for real. James Paton even signed her online book thanking the family. Not sure how you can make this one up as part of a 'scam'

In 2008 BC Prevention Fund raised $3.8 Million. It did give $550,000 in grants which is 14% of donations. It also paid Legacy Marketing $2.3 Million for "outreach services" -- 60% of donations. Jim Paton is the Executive Director of BC Prevention Fund and the BC Prevention Fund tax return says he gets no salary and spends 30 hours a week on BC Prevention. But he is also the part owner of Legacy Marketing, which his employer charity paid $2.3 Million.

This number calls me daily and does not leave a message. Caller ID only lists number, no name, just "Seattle". Very annoying. I have an unlisted number, which is supposed to prevent telemarketers from accessing it. Grr...
(206) 629-8625
bs if they are receiving and keeping 99% of the donations its a scam. donate to someone who helps and gives at least 60%
(206) 629-8625
actually folks, after doing a bit of research on Jim Paton, WA on google, this man appears to be very legit. Including giving $100,000 to Swedish Hospital from the donations collected. I did miss the phone call and looked at the caller ID which said BCPF which led me to look up the number. There is also a site that shows a letter from the State of Washington thanking Jim Paton and BCPF for the $200,000 raised. So folks, not everyone that calls is a scammed. Yet it is always good to check it out. I wanted to make sure I wrote this for others who read Porgie's comments above. A little bit of research (10 minutes at most) would have told this commenter that she didn't have to contact the Feds, of indeed she truly did. Have a good day.
(206) 629-8625
Charlie, you are an absolute *WIZARD*!!!Jimmy Paton has now been reported to the Feds, with your info...

I hung up on them after a millisecond. Works like usual. BCPF - probably the breast cancer prevention fund etc.

After getting a call from this number a couple of times this week on my wifes cell phone, and not leaving voice mail, since we didn't get to the phone in time. I called back the number, which went to "Breast Cancer Awareness Fund". I googled that, and got their website. I never did get anyone at their number, however I then went and did a search at the Washington State Corporation registration site, and got this: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/corps/search_detail.aspx?ubi=602438927I then googled the presidents name James Paton in Everett, WA and found this: http://www.manta.com/company/mmlblg9Legacy Telemarketing Corp2401 Hewitt Ave, Everett, WA 98201-3735Contact Phone: (425) 252-3001URL (web address): www.legacytelemarketing.comBusiness Category: Business Services in Everett, WAIndustry (SIC): Business Services, NECI did get a human at that number, and did confirm that indeed it is the same Jame Paton of the Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, gave the lady my info and told them to take my wifes cell phone off their list. The Legacy Telemarketings website is also register to another address: Administrative Contact, Technical Contact: Paton, Jim [email protected] Legacy Telemarketing corp. 7207 Evergreen Way Suite F Everett, WA 98203 US (800) 488-4609 fax: (425) 355-0812

Getting the same call here in Lynnwood
(206) 629-8625
I just called the number back and it was the Breast Cancer Prevention Fund.
(206) 629-8625
I've gotten 2 calls from them, let it go to voicemail the first time. No message, second time there was a little background noise but no one there.
(206) 629-8625
I'm not sure if there is a connection between these two numbers but I received a call on my cell phone first not more than a couple of minutes before my house phone rang with the "UNAS" number. The Cell phone call (604-621-9731) which I also did a search for on the net was from some "credit help" agency/company in British Columbia.... but I haven't a clue what this UNAS (206-629-8625) phone call was about, they did not leave a message either. It just seemed odd that one call came right after the other. Today was my first experience with the UNAS call (12:33pm), I sure hope they don't keep calling every day like some of you other posters have mentioned, what a nuisance that would be... ughh!
(206) 629-8625
We are getting the same thing.
(206) 629-8625
Same thing, never ending calls.
(206) 629-8625
This number keeps calling us ~ Never leaves a message on the answering machine. If I answer ~ it's dead air. Did I mention it's EVERY DAY.The caller-Id says "UNAS". Don't know who they are or what they want!
