Since when did the floodgates of ******s s**** filling up this website?Apparently the above is what happens when paranoid conspi**** theorists s**** using a site; everyone believes there is some huge grift to scam you out of the $3.76 in your bank accounts.All of you ******s (save for one or two sane people who have commented here) are WAY off base. This is a totally legitimate business that banks outsource to do this type of work for them because it is cheaper than hiring employees directly to do their grunt work.All they are doing is trying to help you and protect you; so all of you focking *****s who **** up on people like this or refuse to give them information deserve exactly what you'll get, which ironically turns out to be the exact thing you're so paranoid about happening. And the people like me who are not ******ed and can figure out why companies like this exist find this irony hilarious, so please, continue to post here that this is a scam and that everyone should be totally uncooperative do***ebags with them.In all seriousness, these people call folks who sign up for CC's or, like others have said, are trying to c****e their line of credit, etc. to make sure that the information they were given is correct and that someone isn't trying to use your information to steal from you. So when so****ing bad does happen, i.e. someone ***ns your information and applies for a new CC in your name and this number calls you to make sure it's really you and you really did apply, you better give them all the information they need. Now put on your seatbelts because here comes the irony: you idiots who do not cooperate with them and don't give them the info they need, which is that you did not sign up for a new CC or w/e the case may be, the scammer wins.I don't even feel bad that all of you ******s are getting scammed by trying so hard not to be scammed because you are in fact so ****** that you deserve to be drained of all your money and credit so that you can't afford to bring more idiots into this already pathetically *****ic country.TL;DR: The number is 100% legit and all these people who tell you otherwise are actually the ones who are going to get scammed because they have been cursed by their own hubris and ******ity.

It's BoA collecting on missed payments

keeps calling and left only 1 message but return call number was different , stated they are from card services .

This is not a scam. It is a card services company that verifies applications for credit. They called me because someone is trying to apply for credit in my name and the credit bureau freezes flagged it. Since they support multiple banks, they aren't employees of the banks directly.

I've received several calls from them.  I never answer the phone when I don't recognize the number.  They never leave any messages.  I do not have a Bank of America account nor have I asked to increase my credit line.  This appears to be a scam.

They seem to be legit- if you ask for a credit line increase they will call. This is a company that credit card companies use to verfiy your income and such. It a new thing as I understand -cause so many people have lied about income to get highger credit lines.  If they call and u don't trust them tell them please do not call again (take ur # of the list- and legal action will be taken again and then call your local branch and talk to them!

Just recived a call from this number on my cell and office. They would not leave a message or call back #. I tried to call it backseveral times and it's busy. My Identity  has been stolen....this must be part of the ring.

So they call me yesterday at around 7pmEST and trying to pass off as BOA and they are not. They should clearly say they are not a BOA employee but they are affiliated and how they are affiliated. They ask if my name is XY and they are on the money so I say yes. Then they want to know about an CC i opened with BOA and the interest rate. Then they say hold on to answer some questions and hang up. Seems like they are some ID theft BS. Yes, some people are saying they are legit but they don't carry themselves like they are legit.Now if you work for BOA you would know this so why would you ask? I called BOA and although they do know FIA and are affiliated but, they don't show any record of them calling me or needing to. I called back FIA and spoke to Jennifer Rodriguez and refused to give her anything besides my phone number and name (since they already had it). I told her if she needs something from me she is to go through BOA and to never call me again(FAIL-they just called).WTF?

personally, i had no problems or doubts.  this was a credit card i had applied to from BofA.  they called me to complete my process.  simple easy employment history and extra income questions.  They did not ask me for anything personal like my SSN or bank account numbers.  i verified the number from my application and they matched. i should be getting my card within a week.  we shall see.

had called my cell phone and my land line saying somebody have tried to applied for an extra visa card and manage to have me reveal my address .when i called back on the tel #atthe back of the visa card later on the night, bank of america card service denied made such call

they called and wanted personal data-they said i applied for a credit card which i didn't. i hung up on them

Bank Of America isnt sure why this negative blog is here... they said the 207-338-7799 is legit and 866-826-9048. To confirm call Bank of America .. I had them look at this blog they said its people who dont know what they are talking about and paranoid

Bank of American I just called 1-800-877-5749 and 1888-800-5420 they said those other numbers are legit. If you arent sure go to better business bureau in Maine

Said called from Bank of America to confirm that I applied for card there. I never did that, they said they will close "my application"

207-338-7799 w/ Caller ID as Card Services will not stop phoning! If this is a confirmed scam, why are they allowed to maintain this telephone number by their service provider?Why would Bank of America, Wachovia and AMEX not take security actions to put a stop to this scam?

This is a scam. They called us and pretended to be Bank of America.DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT EVEN CONFIRM YOUR NAME OR ADDRESS. Bank of America is aware of this scam as is Wachovia and AMEX.

This was a call to verify information regarding a credit card application that I had submitted.  The caller was very professional and courteous and just asked some questions about my application before final approval of my new account.  Sensitive financial information was not exchanged (such as SS# or birthday).

CALLED AND IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES AS "CARD SERVICES" AND TO CALL BACK A AMANDA SPRINGER @1-866-638-0577 EXT 82403. BUT THE PROBLEM WAS A REQUESTED WRONG FIRST NAME BUT OUR LAST NAME. THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A RESPONSE SINCE JANUARY. HUMMMM..?

This number called my cell phone to check on a balance transfer request that I had made and then called them to cancel the online request and do the request via the phone. I called the 800 number on the bank of my Bank Of America Credit Card to confirm that it was Bank Of America who called, they looked up my account and they confirmed that Bank Of America did call to confirm if I wanted a request done, and if I wanted one request done or two for the same dollar amount.

They called and didn't say anything.

A person called and mentioned I owe $50k on my BoFA credit Card and what am I going to due at the end of the month when it's due.  I think is this a scam and am not sure

Called and asked my to faz my SSN and copy of drivers license.

they said that my wife applied for am amex and since this is my wife's first card we need to send a copy of her SS card, and driver's license and utility bill. They said that all this is because she doesn't have a credit report. this seams fishy to me

Consolidated my credit cards with Bank of America online, so they called to validate my online request.

Called to resolve an issue.  Left voice mail message at my work number.  I've never given out this number and I'm not sure how they got it.  It's not listed to me.

Called me back at my request to validate my phone number during credit card application process.

"Card Services" department of Bank of America. They are either collecting or trying to sell more services.
