I actually called this number back to find out who it was and got what I THOUGHT was some sort of accidental recording on their outgoing message. I heard (in a deep Southern accent), "... then whut thay oughta dew is get on thare computer and get on th' do not call list..." "Do not call. **** on the do not call list..." *click* After manually forcing my eyebrows down from the very top of my forehead, I called the number back and someone picked up, "Yella." .... "Yella?" I snickered and ***g up like a little school girl. I guess they didn't realize they'd picked up during my previous call.Sincey they're picking up, let's all call THEM 4 - 5 x in a row extoling our own virtues as people who would like to be left in peace without being bothered by political messages.

Today I had a call from 209-244-7072 and for the next 42+ minutes my phone was chattering away loudly with two to five persons all talking at the same time and I could not get it to stop. I went to an office and had Verizon block them and finally quiet. However, I will be charged for those 42+ minutes and I am not happy. If you wish to block calls you can do so by calling 888-382-1222, I was informed. I plan to do this NOW.

I received two calls from this number yes****ay, MARCH 23, 2009. The caller stated that there would be an important meeting Sunday, OCTOBER 19. I missed that meeting! They are wasting their money and my time. When will these political types realize that we are are the nocall list for a reason and they are not respecting our wishes. This was scare tactic politics aimed at alarming the aging polution of Representative Waite's district. Noteably, we did not receive a phone call back saying "nevermind" -- this was only a discussion - never really a proposal that was being seriously considered.
