I just received a call for our CEO regarding fundraising for the Minnesota Department of VFW. “Stephanie.” initially made it sound as if this was an official call from the Department of Minnesota VFW. We work with the State of Minnesota so I asked for more information. She would not tell me what the call was regarding until I asked for a phone number to call. Then she told me it was fundraising (Didn't I just tell you that?" Nope!) but would not give me details and insisted on talking to the owner. I told her I am the executive assistant and I take initial calls and I asked again for the phone number. I was given a phone number for the call center 1-800-396-9104 but told it was only a recording for the call center. I asked if there was an office number and she didn’t know. She hung up, then.
