These numbers in my opinion that are calling thru robot calls or any other means need to be looked at deeper in depth. It could be possible that they are being done to generate a herd of people to look up the number on line in which they can get your IP address as well as have all kinds of cookies that follow you on the internet which these type companies then generate a bundle of monies due from click ads etc. Wonder how these companies would stay in business if you quit researching numbers? probably go out of business. So how to stay in business for those that want a bunch of click ad hits. Use robot calls. There again this is only an opinion on how it can look to some when trying to determine the means for so much unsolicted phone calls being increased in numbers. A ton of money could be made this way is why it can appear to some as possible wrong business tactics Ask yourself what companies of all that stands to profit from you doing research on a phone number that called you. How do these web sites stay in business or generate monies? I am not implying this site does though some may or may not.

SPAM! What I did was create a new contact on my phone named "SPAM." I assigned my 10 #s I routinely get spam calls from & then assigned a separate ringtone to it. That way, I don't even have to LOOK at the dang phone to know it's a call I don't want to answer. I WISH AT&T would allow a blocking function, but they don't . . . so this is the best I could come up with. Better than nothing....
