Called claiming (with a pakistani accent) to be a fraud investigator and mentioned the name of a friend of mine who he claimed had used me as a reference. I told him I didnt care who he was or what my friend had done because there was 0 possibility I was going to "deliver a message" for him. Told him to stop calling me. He won't.

received a call from "midwest tech" today. I listened to the automated message then pressed 9. A woman answered. told me how i qualify for lower interest rates to due my credit score. I decided to ask her a few questions...first i asked her who I am...In other words , who did she call....she replied "sir, i can't give out that information". I said let me get this correct...you call me, i ask to verify who you called and you tell me you can't tell me who called? I said then what do you want from me, is it money? She promptly hung up with out even saying good bye..lol . Fortunate for her she hung up as my next tactic was to blow my kids referee whistle into the phone.

I have received several recorded messages in a day saying they could lower my credit card interest rate.The name of the company comes up on my caller ID as MidWest Tech. They are calling even though I am registered on the Indiana Do-Not-Call registry. I did a reverse phone number search and the provider was shown as MCI World Communications Inc.
