Left pre-recorded message on answering machine. Claims to offer "low cost" dental insurance -- "even for "pre-existing conditions..." Whatever. Caller ID said "CIB". Said to "press 1 for a live operator or 2 to be removed from the call list..." Sounds of someone moving phone around before laying it into cradle.

********************************** THIS IS A SCAM, PEOPLE! ************************** 269-978-1197 (CIB), 704-324-9003 (Jason Wade), 786-439-0853 (MB Enterprises), to name a few.............are the latest scammers to hit the phones. They are NOT actual telemarketers of a LEGITIMATE company! They attempt to get ANY information you will GIVE them in order to USE your IDENTITY for THEIR BENEFIT. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS, IN FACT - DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE if you don't recognize the number! I learned the hard way. It all started with a simple hello when I answered a call from one of the above #'s. Flash forward several weeks later - I just had Windstream repair out here because I thought my phone was going crazy (caller id was showing my KNOWN incoming callers as different #'s from different states all across the US.) Windstream tracked the problem down to an incoming call from "MB Enterprises" out of Florida. They told me these scammers get you to answer your phone, then they latch onto your # and use it to run up long distance calls and God only knows what else. Apparently, that mb enterprises was posing as "Windows computer repair" to try and extract info from unsuspecting people to gain access into their computers as well. BOTTOM LINE: ****** IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO'S # IT IS - DON'T ANSWER! *****
