They have constantly called ever since I placed information on this website --> http://americanlibertyscholarship.com/index.cfm?source=UR I didn't know that the website was probably a scam site, but when I first answered it was just blank on the other end. I've heard many people say that it's a scam number. I cannot get a new phone, block or c****e the number as it is Tracfone and I do not have the money for a new one at the moment. I'd really like the calls to stop as it wastes my time and disturbs me.

these people s****ed calling me today 7/27/10 about 7 times beteen 7am and 7pm. I finally answered and they ***g up. When I called back I got a message saying 'this is customer service. Leave your name and number and we'll return your call' and they **** up. According to online, this has been going on since 2008, same number, same ****up/no name to the company answering ma****e.

This was a college finding site that my parents signed me up for when i was looking at grants and scholarship money. They called and tried to find a college or so****ing for me. This of course was after calling 6 times in a 4 hour period while i was at work and when not saying anything after i picked up the phone about 3 times.

Please leave a message". That's all they say. This all s****ed after I replied to several emails forwarded to me thru Craigslist on an item I was selling. Idenity thief??????

There has to be a common denomiator somewhere here. Could it be a phone company's way to get you to pay for [Call Block Service}? I wouldn't put it past any of them, especially AT&T. Best thing to do is report them locally and at the Oswego, NY Police Departments.

Someone from 315-207-4761 keeps on calling. I finally answered the call today and someone with an accent that I had troubles understanding said that they were from the "University and College Finder." I had to have him repeat the name many times just to get it all. They actually had my daughter's first name. Her name is not a common name and that bothers me. I told them that she would not be back for 1 1/2 weeks (and they tried to get off the phone as fast as possible at that point), but then they called a***n just an hour or so later. This time, no one said anything. I did a little research online and they have a LOT of complaints. I tried calling them back, but it went straight to an answering ma****e with no business name whatsoever, just leave name, number, and message and someone would get back as soon as possible! That is NOT the way any respectable business, especially one for helping students find colleges, would behave. Stay away from this number! I will be filing complaints with anyone that I can.

The following telephone number 315-207-4761 called me asking for personal information regarding my education status. I never ever give out any personal information and usually **** up on callers asking for personal information. However, my 2 1/2 year old son answered the phone and I thought it was my college doing an exit interview for graduating seniors. The timing seemed right and the information that the caller had on me made gave me reason to believe it was my college. This caller asked date of high school graduation and if I planned on pursuing additional education. At the closure of the call, they ask for date of birth verification. I fell right into the trap like a fool! Now, I am scared! I researched the number online and other people are having the same problem. This just does not sound right.....asking for date of birth.....plus, they ask for employer information.....why? I don't want other people to fall into this trap.

I forgot what i even filled out online. They called and the dude had an accent so i couldnt make out exactly what he represented. he knew my name i think? unless i confused watevr name he mumbled with my own. he asked me to verify the email, and he knew the email i said yea correct and he asked me abotu school and i told him i go in the fall. and asked if i was born in 90 or 89. i answered that. then hes like u hav any questions and im like not that i cna think of then hes like good bye..i said bye thank u...i dont know for wat tho. im not sure wat kind of things anyone can do with the information there. im so worried anyone can help? or atleast calm me?

I've gotten several calls from this number today and it's driving me crazy! Usually, I just don't pick up the phone if it's a number I don't recognize (so then they'll just leave a message or whatever), but I figured I'd answer after they called two times within the minute (CREEPY!). I picked it up, said, "Hello", twice and they ***g up. I did hear VERY quiet noises on the other line (like two people whispering). So I looked the number up on Google and found a LOT of complaints about this number. Some people mentioned it was because they filled out stuff on collegeboard.com, so I'm guessing that must be it. But I SERIOUSLY hope they stop calling, because it's BEYOND annoying.

Yeah, I received about 5 calls already from this number. I just ignored their last call. They don't leave any messages, they just keep calling and me, being a college student, I just keep missing their calls. I called them back yes****ay not knowing who they were at first because it was my first time I received their number and then today I called them back and was like, "Hi, you keep calling me, if this is really important then please just leave me a message on the answering ma****e." I searched online on whitepages.com and it shows this number is a from Oswego, NY. Provider is Verizon and it's a landline phone. You would have to pay to receive the rest of the information.

Called today at 1:03 p.m. Answered phone, but no one on other end. I ***g up, but apparently w***ver called me did not. I tried to place a call to my doctor office at 1:15 p.m., but line was still open to the 315-207-4761 number. I heard voices in background - sounded like a party going on. I yelled and shouted into my phone to attempt to get someone's attention. Finally got a whistle and blew it into the phone. Got someone's attention with that, and line went dead. Don't know who is calling, why they are calling, or how they got my unlisted telephone number...and I'm on the Do Not Call list also.

They would not say where they were located, they reply I received was they could not tell anyone due to security reasons. R they serious !! I also asked ok so then why are you calling from a New York number, she said she was not. Who r these people and what is their deal? And when I tried to call the number back it does not give a company or identify it's self. You leave you'r name and number and they say they will call you back. As if you need to leave a number they r going to call anyway !!

First call received today 25 April 2008, shortly after filling out an online form for free Revlon 3D mascara. After filling in the form and especting a confirmation, instead I was presented with pages of questions asking me about my interests and if I wanted this or that, etc. I checked NO to everything. I know some of the questions were concerning continuing education & colleges. While sear****g online, a couple of forums have identified the number as belonging to University Finders. Don't know if that's true, but it makes since, except for the fact that I answered NO to information about education. Hope this helps in finding w***ver this is and stopping them.

For the past week I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number (315-207-4761)at all hours of the day. I have never answered it...because I don't answer numbers I don't know. I figure if it is that important they will leave a message. But they never have. Tonight I left my phone at the house while I went to a friends for dinner. We left at 5:30 p.m. and got home at 9:00 p.m.. My phone showed 6 missed phone calls, all from this number. needless to say next time I will be answering. And then I will have a block put on after that!

Person calls numerous times a day and either ****s up after one ring or will ask for personal information. If you ask the person to quit calling, they will not. They will not leave voicemails and if you call back all you get is an answering ma****e that gives no name to a business but asks you to leave your name and number. The phone calls are getting to the harassment point because they will call over 20 times a day. I hope this gets taken care of quickly because there are ***dreds or thousands of people who are getting these calls.

4 to 5 calls a day. Fiance is in school and was resear****g some colleges... after reading a lot of blogs on the net about this number, we feel they got it from that somehow. Regardless, they need to shut them down. It's some sort of scam i'm sure. 1 post said that they charge u $1 on ur phone bill when u call the number back. i havent tried that to know if its true but if u havent called it, don't. They really dont ask for anything so thats the only reason i can think of them to call and **** up.

I s****ed getting calls from this number a few days ago. There is never anyone on the line when you answer and the calls come every couple of hours. It is very annoying to get 5-8 per day from this unknown caller. I did call back and got the recording saying you have reached customer service and to leave a message. I did leave a message but have not heard back. I have filed a complaint on the Do Not Call website and intend to file a complaint with the FCC also. Has anyone gotten these calls to stop and if so how?

I called the number and just got a recording that it was customer service department - no compnay name given. I left a message to not call me back a***n that I was on the do not call list. Woman said I had signed up for Online training. Informed her I knew nothing about this and that if the calls didn't stop I was going to contact our State's Attorney's office. Then received another call from another number and a man said he was removing me from the list and gave me an Earthlink email address that was suppose to have been used to sign up for the courses. I am contacting the State Attorney's office by snail main, that should get their attention.

I've gotten some **** up calls from this number. Other people on the web have reported similar experiences. I think they call on the pretense of asking if you'd like to receive some sort of college information, but they're really just taking down your info so they can sell it to others to send you junk mail, or get more calls. I've been sear****g for an apartment in CA, and filled out a few ads on Craigslist lately. I guess that will teach me.

When I told them it was none of her business b/c I had not requested information, she launched into a lecture of how rude I am and continued to yell at me while I calmly asked for her supervisor. Don't fall for it. They just want your info to scam you. If you call back, you get a charge on your phone bill. Just ignore their phone calls.....Delete your computer cache...Be WARY. They call 20 times a day. Report this to Digg and don't give them your info. My wife just got verizon. the calls just s****ed on 7/1-within a week. It looks like Verizon has a security gap. I guess we have a long way to go with these annoyances. I'm gonna try to answer their next call as a non existent city police department(we get sheriff only), and see if that scares em off!. Incidentally I do have a crim justice degree. Reported them online to the FTC already.

Called dozens of times, sometimes just no speaking, silence, but sometimes a real person, over the past week, asking for "Andrew." Told them they had a wrong number, to stop calling. Today I finally said, Andrew doesn't live here, we have no Andrew, don't call a***n. She said she'd have to hear it from Andrew himself and they'd call a***n tomorrow!

I get numerous calls a day from this number, then they stop for a day or two then it s****s all over a***n. I have kids and they call at very late hours! I know just answer the the phone and then **** up right away, then it rings back a***n, so I do the same thing! I just wish they would stop!

these people keep calling me over and over and over a***n. I don't know who they are. Just that it is coming from Oswego NY. All you have to do is call them back when they answer hit 0 then 1 and do that over and over and you will fill their inbox and maybe they will get the hint.

calls in the morning and wakes me. most the time they **** up. today the person kept saying on my answering ma****e..one thirty. one thirty. Creepy. I would like to be removed from their phone list. I looked up the number and is based out of oswego, new york..oh i see it says that above too. any who!!

Just got a call. Couldn't answer it in time. A search says it came out of Oswego NY. Have some relatives back East so I thought it might be one of them. On calling back, a message simply says: "thank you for calling our customer service number , please leave a number and we'll get back to you." no company name given.

This phone number keeps calling me. I finally call them back, and there was no answer! I am sick and tired of being woke up, or having to stop what I'm doing just to answer the phone and there be no answer. The same thing keeps happining, they call, I answer, there is no response and then, the line goes dead.

Tis place keeps calling and I have called them and left a message with my number to STOP calling if they are not going to say anything and the calls persist. I get an average of 5 calls a day and it is very annoying. I have no idea how they got my number or how to make them stop.

The number 315-207-4761 calls me some days every 3 hours. When I answer, they just **** up on me. They call every day on my cell phone. When I call the number, I get "Thank you for calling customer service, please leave your name and phone number". No idea who this is or why they keep calling me.

This phone number has called me at all hours of the day and night. They have called me 18 times in three days. I called the number and got a Customer Service Recording - left my name and number and told them to not call my number anymore....my number is a cell phone number and they are burning up my minutes.

They keep calling me, I've had this show up a ton over the last month, doesn't matter if it's day, afternoon or night they keep calling, I never pick up as I only answer the phone if it's someone in my contacts list, but it's very annoying. I don't even know how they got my number but I'm getting really upset.

They just keep calling there is never anyone who says anything on the other end of the phone but if you call the number, they have an answering ma****e that would appeal to the male libido. But, if you leave a message no one calls back. This company is a nuisance and a disturbing one at that. THIS COMPANY NEEDS STOPPED!!!!!

Have received calls from this incessantly the last month or so. When we answer, they usually **** up. This a.m. (9/8/08) when I answered, a woman with a foreign accent s****ed asking me personal information about my 17-year-old. I complained to her about all the previous ****-up calls and she apologized and ***g up.

I am not quite sure who is calling from this number, but let me tell you, they are persistant!! All day they call my phone, and if you return the call the automated voice system thanks you for calling customer service and asks you to leave your name and number. Anyway its just annoying, and very disruptive

This number continues to call at all hours of the day. We answer, no one on the line. We called back this evening and received an answering ma****e iden***y of customer service. Asked for us to leave our number and they would call back. We left a message to remove our number from their mailing list.
