The first call they said nothing and then hung up. I called back to see, they introduced themselves as something associates which I could barely understand. She then proceeded to make me verify information and I told her no and to tell me what this is about and they said they can’t speak to me.

I received a recorded call on my cell phone explaining that my ATM or credit card had been suspended by the credit union -- when the recording named the credit union, it conveniently skipped so I couldn't quite understand the name of the credit union. The call directed me to the "security" department, which asked for my 16 digit number. When I didn't give the information, the recording kept asking for the number, so I hung up.

It's obviously a fraudulent phone call by phishers trying to collect credit card information or personal information from anyone dumb enough give it to them; don't fall for it! I am sure if you gave them any information it would be used to steal your identity or steal money from you.
