DO NOT ACCEPT ANY PHONE CALLS OR TEXTS FROM THIS PERSON!!! I received a "check" from National Association of Music Merchants in California. Person is supposedly from LA... raised a red flag so i decided to first call the bank... Union Bank of California. The acct. number was real but the check number is fake. Was advised to call the issuer of the check. Called NAMM and asked to speak to someone in accts payable... Lady told me that its not the first time they receive a phone call about a check being sent out trying to buy items off of Craigslist. She said that the check would not clear since the check number doesnt exist. Sadly people have tried to deposit it regardless and basically get a bounced check back since the bank wouldnt clear it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON!
