I received a call from this number, claiming to be from Pepco (male speaking Spanish), they asked to speak with my husband. They stated that the power would be cut off in the next half hour because of a past due invoice. I told them I would call back. I called Pepco's number (from my monthly bill) and it was not them calling. I called the number back and a women answered just "hello". I told her I had received a call form this number, she asked if we had our electricity with them, when I asked her which company she stated BGC. I told her she was not from the power company and that I would be reporting them as they were trying to scam people at which point she ***g up on me. This number called claiming they were calling from Pepco about to cut the lights out because they had sent two yellow envelopes stating Pepco could not accept payments on line via credit card or by check as they were updating their system. However, Pepco has received all payments and withdrew funds from account with no problem. I think this is a scam.
