How do I get name FREE ????

I don't pickup if I don't recognize the # but a spammer seems to have multiple #'s from various area codes in the USA..some type of credit card collection group..contacts my cell with wrong name

said they were the 'service dept'. computerized. they did understand 'the four letter word' and hung up.

"Sounds good it is still available,a friend of mine saw your advertisement on craigslist,he gave me your number and the avdert link so i can contact you direct ,i will appreciate your sincerity about its present condition,i am okay with the condition and price if still the same as the advert,I know it is worth more than the price you selling it, So i agree your selling price offer for $900,Please Kindly Text me back immediately and let me know if we can proceed." (spelling and syntax errors painstakingly reproduced) Responded positively, offering to let him assess the condition himself with a test drive. "I agree to your selling price of $900,,i am ready to proceed in arrangement for the payment immediately, You do not have to bother yourself about the pick up. I'll instruct a Shipping Agent to come for pickup at your door, when you must have gotten your cash at hand.I will be paying through check and I'm in no rush with you till funds's are cleared in your bank. Kindly Text me your {three parts of four part text message, fourth one never came}" At this point I called to discuss the details, as the message was incomplete and I was getting pretty suspicious. No answer. Got a call back from 319-804-1466 five minutes later. "Collin" had a thick Indian accent and spoke broken English. He explained that he was in California (I am in Oregon) and would not have the opportunity to test drive the car, but if I would give him my full name and address, he would UPS me the check straight away. I had just googled the phone number and found this page, so I declined to give him the information.

Spammer trying to buy things from Craig's list

Someone with an Indian accent called and left two messages on voicemail saying he is calling from crime investigation division, and then something outlandish like there has been a legal affidavit filed in my name with 3 federal charges, and I need to call back or they will do something on those said charges. When I call the number back, all i get a message saying that the message box is full, which seems rather unprofessional and cheap for the FBI :-) Searched the internet and found that many people have received calls like this with the same callback number, the Indian accent trying (very poorly) to be American with a fake drawl, etc. etc. Someone needs to complain to the cops. And I would like to know how they got my home phone no.

Someone called me.

Got a call a few hours ago.  The caller ID had AMVETS.  I didn't answer because they are unknown to me.   When answering machine came on, they hung up

I have a home business - they call me all the time! I've asked several times to be taken off their list - I'm also on the do not call list. I actually had a guy tell me that I was "greedy" for not sharing my "wealth". I asked for a supervisor and was hung up on. I spoke to my local fire department and they told me what I need to do to stop the calls. You have to call 800-917-6835 and listen to a long list of options. The last one is to have your number removed. I did this a few weeks ago and haven't heard from them since.
