Idiots keep calling with this number, and even a 888 number..  i listen to the phone message.. always some recorded message saying its the manager or something..  Well i have not talked to them, and judging by what i've read on here. I don't think i'll ever bother.  I'll just wait until collect corp gives up, sells it to a nicer collections agency, settles with a much smaller amount.. and be done with it.  I know i have an R9 already...  it doesn't matter if i pay now, or pay later  still takes 7 years to drop off your credit history...

Received a call from John Magnet at my place of business and asked to speak to me, when my secretary said I was unavailable he informed her "that I can not run and hide forever, that he was going to call all of my neighbors and have them tell me to pay my bills" when I did get on the phone he would not tell me where he was calling from, when I asked who his supervisor was he said "why are you gonna pay your bill,why are you gonna pay your bill, why are you gonna pay your bill,why are you gonna pay your bill...." I continued he said fine you want to speak to him not I said yes, he said well let me speak to your supervisor, I informed him this is regarding a personal account he had no right to speak to my supervisor, he said "I am going to tell him to tell you to pay your bills", I again informed him he had no right to speak to my supervisor.  My secretary had asked him what company he was calling from he said "collect call" she said that is the name of the company he said yes.

They called regarding a credit card for a company I use to work for. Apparently that company has defaulted and they said they are coming after me! As if they could. I spoke with the man for a few minutes who said he would ruin my credit if I didn't pay the $10K the company owed...I told him to go #*$(* himself and hung up!

This is annoying these people from 416-935-2848 keeps calling my pay as you go cell phone they keep harassing me and expect me to answer my phone knowing full well that this is a long distance number. They left some very basic information, they were rude in there message and very unprofessional. Although I do owe some money due to an on going divorce all bill collectors were already contacted about this and notes made. They cannot do anything till a judge makes a final decision on the matter. All bill collectors are aware of this very important detail. From my understanding this is harassment. If you are in the same boat as me call the police and report this number and have your lawyer contact them as well which I am about to do.

I received a call from this number today trying to confirm my birthday.  I hung up the phone.  They called back asking my why I hung up.  I told them I had no clue who they were.  They then tried some more questions about birthdays.  They were obviously fishing. Then they started asking names also which also made no sense. More fishing.

This number keeps calling me too asking me to pass on a message to a neighbour who moved out months ago - which i told them and they told me I was a liarNo wonder peeps don't pay them, if they are legit, because I certainly wouldn't hand over money to a group that sounds so unprofessional that it seems like a scam

I answered the phone and they were asking me for my ex sister in law, ie said she did not live here and they still wanted me to take a message for her. He was rude and did not speak english very well.

collectcorp has a F rating with the Better Business Bureau, imagine that..

416-935-2848 is a number used by CollectCorp.  They are a collection agency and as a general rule the majority of the people they contact do actually owe money to whomever contracted them.  However, they basically operate like any telemarketing call center in that they employ people who can't get a real job and as a result their operation is extremely unprofessional.  That said, if you are receiving calls from them you either owe someone money that you are not paying, and you should do so as soon as possible, or you have been contacted by mistake due to the fact that they are basically incompetent in which case you should report their activity which is essentially harassment and really quite illegal.  Good luck, they are persistent even if only out of ignorance.

the call came through while i was at work and the male caller let a message on my machine for a Mr C (wrong last name) about a personal business matter that had been on his desk for 62 days and left a 1-866 number where to call him back (he did not leave his name or company name)  When I called the number to let them know they had a wrong number the person I spoke with could not tell me anything as he said I needed a case number which he had not left in the message.

male caller requesting to speak to some guy with the last name grant. said we didn't know him and then he proceeded to ask us for our private information! after raising our voice and telling him we didn't know who he was looking for, he finally hung up! Do not give this guy your information! call the police if this guy doesn't stop harassing you!

I received a message on my answering machine requesting that I deliver a message to my neighbor, giving me her name and address "and case number" and left a return number for her to call. Since I dont actually know this person as she obviously lives up my street a few houses... I decided to return the call to determine if this were a family emergency or perhaps a situation that might be a resonable request to ask a stranger. When I found out it was a collection matter, I was angered by there attitude that I somehow should be brought into this legal matter as I dont think they are legally allowed to give out that personal info let alone request I act as there agent and get involved in a collection matter. The caller was Suanne ( very unprofessional )The Supervisor is Rick ( Rick, you can do better than this )The Company that allows this is CollectCorp ( If you allow this you should lose your license to practice business )I have the case number and I will contact my neighbor so she can file a complaint for revealing her personal info to her neighbors

It's CollectCorp a bill collection company. called back hit # and did not leave a message then hit *8 to transfer to new extension, then just kept hitting 4 digit extensions starting with 22 until i hit live person.  when i got one I pretended said 'hey long time no speak, how you been? so listen I wont be able to make the meeting this afternoon" the person was all confused...  I said," wait sorry who is this" they said "mr x from Collectcorp" who were you looking for " oops sorry wrong person completly...bye"

Had this number call me three times, and ask for my husband. I asked to take a message and she said, no and hung up really fast.  She was asking for my husband's work # and I refused to give it out... as she couldn't tell me where she was calling from etc. Werid too that they asked for him by first name only, as if a friend.  I tried phoning the # back and it's an answering machine, that doesn't say the company name. Weird.

I received a phone call on my cell from a male , he said his name is Travis Scott, asking me he wants to talk to my wife, because it is private and confidential. I called Bell Co., the carrier of this no. and they said they will inform the police about, to trace the no. because if you try to call them back, there  is always an answering maschine. The guy was very rude, short in answers, strict, no details or explining me why he needs to talk private with my wife, we don't know a guy with this name and we are not involved in any kind of bussiness or else. He refused to give me details 2 times  I was asking him. So, folks, call the police until something is ...this herrasments needs to be stopped ! and I am not the only one...

I think it's really weird I picked up the phone and a girl named Lisa asked to speak with my grandmother, i exlained she is in the hospital and most likely will not come out and asked for a msg, she proceded to tell me she cannot disclose the name of the company and only could if I fax her a power of attorny, which i told her i would not be comfortable doing unless i know to who im sending this to...she gave me there Fax which is 1-888-518-3627...all she would say is in regards to a business matter?? what business matter could a 90 year old women have??

Got the call at 6:43 PM, Pacific time from Toronto, Ontario.  Woman asked for my neighbor, an elderly woman.  I received a call for the elderly woman two hours earlier from 877-706-1878, woman said her name was Roxanna and she could not reveal her name.  I told her that I knew she was using a reverse phone book and to never call here again and I would give my neighbor her message.  I decided not to give my neighbor the message, then I got this call.  No concidence, I am sure.  I told this caller my neighbor died and she started to quiz me about how long and I hung up.  I have heard that there are organizations in Canada that prey on the elderly.  Try to get them into investment schemes, etc.
