I've had a couple of 'mysterious' texts pop up lately, so I decided to look into the second one. This number 424-225-2332 is obviously a PHISING attempt. The text alert for the number simply said, "Are you there?" The first one was similar. I don't open texts from unknown cell numbers and just wanted to warn people about this one. (The "Is this number a telemarketer?" option does not give an "N/A", and I won't open the text to see if it is a Yes or No for the telemarketer question.)

Craigslist fake!

Received text from this number offering 2/3 price for table I am selling. Said he was sending Bank of America check and he would send his "personal courier" service to pick item up once cash was received. This is a scam and needs to be taken care of some how.

They listed a job, she says her name is Donna Butler but the email she is using is [email protected] which is****ociated with a scam (http://scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26858). In her email she is asking for your information and ask to be texted. When you call the number it is google voice so your not really getting through to anyone.

This number text wanting to by a car from me. They sent double the amout I ask for and wanted me to send the extra western union for the "shipper fee". The bank they used is Wells Fargo so I called them to verify and it is a fake. The "company" the check came from ended up being a cancer fund raiser. The address was a to a six bedroom house for sale. When I call the number the text came from I always get a weird answering ma****e. It is a scam!
