I too used to be a donator to this business - Council For The Blind - and rec'd a msg from a Michele Nelson from 425-275-4180, using my first name who asked me to call her back at a different number - 425-778-0383. I will never donate to this organization a***n either as they don't know when to take "no" for an answer; we try to spread our donations around, not to just one place. Now we simply do not pick up the phone and screen all of our calls - for everything.

(425) 275-4180
This person called and asked for me directly by my first name. When she was told I was not home she just ***g up. She did not bother to inform who she was, what she wanted or who she represented.

FYI Chris...my post was correct. It happend yes****ay. Call the number yourself.I also received a phone call from a board member of the Washington Council for the Blind who looked into this matter and later called me back and appologized for the treatment I received. You are correct. This phone number is NOT for the WCB. It is a telemarketing firm that does phone soli***ation. This an ongoing problem and the WCB should fire this company. They are doing a great deal of harm to a great organization.
(425) 275-4180
FYI, the above post is incorrect--this is not even a number for the Washington Council of the Blind. Maybe it was in 2007????

Watch out for these idiots. I got a voice mail from a Michelle Nelson. As a business owner, I of course replied . When she answered the phone she just said "Hello". No formal greeting letting me know who she was. Once she began her s***ch I ***g up. I called back to speak to her "supervisor" . I explained to the flippant punk who claimed to be in charge that this sort of telemarketing is really annoying and deceptive. His only response to my criticism was to "confirm" that I didn't want to make a donation at this time. I corrected him and told him to remove my name and never call me a***n.I HAD been a regular donator to this organization for several years...not anymore.

Washington Council for the Blind, looking for donations. I used to donate every year - told them I couldnt afford it this year and I got the guilt trip about blind kids not getting out of the hospital for Christmas. I said I was sorry, but I couldnt afford it this christmas, perhaps if they called back in January. They couldnt even bother with an "Thank you anyway, and for all the PAST YEARS YOUVE DONATED" they just rudely ***g up!
