Reading this thread freaked me out b/c it is the same thing that happened to me word for work. I too said I was interested and did receive a check. I didn't feel comfortable cashing it so I have text and email my recruiter Anthony for more information on the company. It's been over a week and have not heard from him. I too am a single mom and was looking to earn extra money.

Got a text from Peter Cole (574-526-2212), the recruiter with Onward Technologies. Said they had a work from home position 10-12 hours a week and would be paid $500 weekly. Told me to email him at [email protected]

Offered a part-time work remotely for an administrative assistant job via text. The job required 8 to 10 hours a week and paid $500. Nice if it wasn't a scam.

I received a text from this person November 9, 2020. I just looked up his name and found this info. Thank you for the information you provided. I'm a single mother also.

I received a text message regarding a job offer from a person that goes by Peter Cole with Onward Technologies. He claimed via text as well as through email ([email protected]) that he is the Senior Recruiter at Onward Technologies Inc. After I expressed interest in the Part-Time Remote Administrative Assistant position that was being offered, he sent me some additional information regarding the position as well as the pay structure and then proceeded to ask for a copy of my resume to be viewed through their HR dept. Upon being offered the position, he advised that a check would be sent to me which would include the cost of the computer program that I was to purchase as well as my 1st-week pay of $500. I did receive the check and deposited as instructed but only after I Googled the routing number to make sure that the bank was legit, which is showed that it was and I even called the 800 # associated with the bank. Long story short, the check was returned and my account was charged a returned check fee. I sent a text to Peter to inform him and have not heard back. This is such a LOW thing to do to a single mother that is already struggling financially and who is seeking to earn some extra money to provide for her family.
