I received a text message regarding a job offer from a person that goes by Peter Cole with Onward Technologies. He claimed via text as well as through email ([email protected]) that he is the Senior Recruiter at Onward Technologies Inc. After I expressed interest in the Part-Time Remote Administrative****istant position that was being offered, he sent me some additional information regarding the position as well as the pay structure and then proceeded to ask for a copy of my resume to be viewed through their HR dept. Upon being offered the position, he advised that a check would be sent to me which would include the cost of the computer program that I was to purchase as well as my 1st-week pay of $500. I did receive the check and deposited as instructed but only after I Googled the routing number to make sure that the bank was legit, which is showed that it was and I even called the 800 #****ociated with the bank. Long story short, the check was returned and my account was charged a returned check fee. I sent a text to Peter to inform him and have not heard back. This is such a LOW thing to do to a single mother that is already struggling financially and who is seeking to earn some extra money to provide for her family.
