Some recorded message about lowering credit card interest.

I answered the call, canned female voice said to press 1 to speak to a representative about lowering the interest on a credit card...this is your last notification as two other notifications had been sent to the residence. So, I pressed 1. Nothing. I hung up and hit redial. A young lady, Michelle, answered the phone. I asked what the call was about. Her response was- the interest could be lowered on any Visa, MC, or Discovery card. I asked her which credit card they had called ME about. She said any card with a $3000 or larger balance. Told her that was very funny because I have NO credit cards. She hung up without further discussion. SCAM!!!!

A comment for another phone number with just the last 2 digits different told of an efficient way to stop the calls; 866-246-7196. I called them and when asked, they said they provide this do not call service to a small number of companies that call consumers that want to minimize complaints and save time not calling people who don't want to be called. Sounded good to me so I gave them the caller's phone number which they confirmed to be on their list so they added my receiving phone number to the do not call list. It's been a few days and I haven't gotten anymore calls so this is a good thing to pass on.
