Hello John, I looked up this number through my internet search engine and it’s listed as belonging to several different companies. The number is located in Maypearl, Tx. However, it’s listed as belonging to the Dallas City Water payment center. Another is a Dr. in Dallas. Then there are several other individuals listed. It’s most likely a scam. It’s probably someone spoofing a legitimate number to try and gain access to your personal information or some other scam. It’s getting to the point where it’s becoming a common occurrence for crooks to spoof legitimate numbers and sometimes these people are successful. I have actually had a call from my very own cellphone number on our old land line. These people prey on Senior Citizens and they are generally not even in this country. I have gotten to the point where I don’t answer any number that I don’t recognize. If they call back in a couple of minutes, then I will answer it. I also say “Hello” once, and if nothing happens, I hang up. This app is a great service and my “go to” site to look up individuals who call and seem suspicious. If I don’t find any information here, I type the number into my internet search engine and sometimes it will give me more information on who the number belongs to. NumberGuru is a great app and has always been very good with providing the best information on Scams! One way to stop a lot of the robo calls is to take another cellphone, like a wife or spouses, and call a phone number that you know is not in service. When you get these calls, just play back the recording and the computer will kick your number off of its automated calling software. This method has stopped a massive number of computer generated calls that I was receiving as these companies sell valid numbers to each other.
