I received a call from this # on Tuesday afternoon. The guy left a threatening message, I called back and he said "Crime Prevention" when he answered. When I ?'d him as to what the call was about he said check fraud and 3 counts of it. He said I wrote a check, then he said I got a pay day loan and never paid it back then he said my daughter got a pay day loan and never paid it back. He then supposedly transferred me to Mr. Connolly at a law firm, who refused to give me the law firm name. Both the guys have thick accents and speak broken English. When I told him I was one of at least 53 in the town I live in which one are you looking for, he yelled saying he had the right person, that he was going to have me arrested, and will report it to the credit bureau. When I would ask him ?'s he wouldn't answer and got even angrier. He tried to get me to give him ss#, address, even my daughter's information. I reported this to the Credit Bureau and had all my accts. changed for safety reasons. The credit bureau said it sounded like a SCAM to them as well as my bank. I know I never did what he is saying and my daughter hasn't either. Please be careful people. Never give your informaion no matter what.
