Does GE Credit think that no one has caller ID? How many people do they actually contact with these Robo calls? Do they not know that people compare notes on web sites like this one? The best way to fight this is to just not answer any calls from a number you do not recognize. If it is a legit call, they will leave a message. If it still sounds fishy, do not call them back.

I answer the phones for a huge company and they called looking for 2 different names. When the noticed I answered the phone with... "Good Morning __company name_ how may i help you?" they apologised and said they would take our number off their list. It's probably a computer for GE Money. I never answer it. I wish these phone calls would stop. They will call any time, day or night, but mostly during the daylight hours when I happen to be trying to sleep because I work nights. I have told them repeatedly that I refuse to give out personal information over the phone because I've already had my identity stolen once, but they still keep calling. I tell them that I only make $800 a month because I work at freaking Wal-Mart, and sometimes I just don't have the money to pay this bill on time and I can't exactly slap down $50 whenever they start badgering me for it. I'm so behind on this debt to them, it's not even funny, but they refuse to accept that I'm not going to go without food or utilities or medication just to make them shut up.

Even though I explained to them that I'm late paying my bill, because I don't have a job right now and I can't afford to pay my rent, utilities and the credit card bill. I told tham that i'm looking for work and should be able to start paying in the next few months, but they still call me at least 10-15 times a day even on the weekends.
