I would get a call from this number twice a day - they would call, I wouldn't answer, they wouldn't leave a message and instead would immediately call a***n. I just let it go, because I was always in the middle of so****ing at work and couldn't talk anyway and it wasn't like declining a couple of calls required tons of effort. But then they finally called when I WASN'T busy, so I figured "what the*****?" The operator (Jenny, I believe) asked if I was So-and-so, (ie. me). I dodged that and inquired about who she represented and about the purpose of the call. She claimed to be from U.S. Bank and that this was in regards to an issue with my account. I asked what kind of issue. She refused to divulge any more information until I identified myself, citing that she, as a representative of a financial ins***ution, could not disclose that kind of information for confidentiality purposes. Expressing some concern over being scammed, I told her that I was not about to confirm or deny that I was the person she was looking for unless she could just try a little harder and give me a little bit more info to convince me that this was a legit call. We went round-and-round like this for another minute or so before she s****ed getting irritated and I just ***g up. I immediately called U.S. Bank, with whom I have in fact done business, and gave them this number. They did not recognize it, naturally. They explained to me (which I already knew) that if they have any reason to call they would do so from a 800 number AND leave a message that would include a call-back number. They said they would flag the number and the calls stopped a few days later. That lasted about two months. But in the last week or so they've s****ed a***n. If you decide, for whatever reason, to answer a call from this number, DO NOT give them any personal information as they are most definitely NOT who they claim to be.

Have received repeated phone calls from this number. They identify themselves as US Bank and the first question out of the gate is a request for my account number. WTH...they are calling me...if it's a legit call they have that info already!

Received a voicemail from this number requesting a return call. They identified themselves as US Bank and asked for my account number. (I have no account with US Bank.) The person who answered the phone, Elise, refused to tell me what the call was in reference to and insisted that I provide an account number before she would reveal that information.
