UPDATE: 3-17-11503-531-0166 is a valid number for Washington Co. EMS auto-call back for a cell phone emergency placement call.Details: I finally got through to EMS and received the call log that shows my phone had made a 911 call on the date in question. 503-531-0166 is a VALID EMS number in Washington Co. Oregon, so this is NOT a spammer.Have placed call ticket with Verizon that my LG Ally glitched and called 911 services even though it was in key lock down/powered down mode, does not have a 911 speed dial icon, and did not show having made such a call in its call log. Obviously this is a chip glitch with the LG Ally rather than a spam issue. Will pursue on LG Ally end.

I picked up my LG Ally and saw a funny emergency icon with the message that an emergency call had just come to my phone and that all data access will be suspended...my screen gave me a 3 minute count down clock. I could accept the emergency call back (yes) or decline (no). I declined and checked my call log and voice mail. The number in the call log was 503-531-0166 . That number had called my phone and left a voice mail saying it was the Washington Co. 911 Service and they had received an emergency call from my phone. If this is an emergency please call back. If not, please place phone in lock down or power off.I checked my phone log and saw my phone had not dialed out 911. (It couldn't have as it was in lock down...an automatic feature of my phone). The only thing in my call log was the incoming 503-531-0166 and the voice message supposedly from Washington Co. 911 Services. I called the 503-531-0166 number thinking that maybe one of my kids was in an emergency and had tried to contact me. The number just rang and rang with no answer. I checked the contact info for my local emergency service network, and the non-emergency number is not 503-531-0166 . I could not find that number in any of my county services and located that number in only on "who calls" complaint forums with others stating its claim to be Washington Co. 911 Services.I called customer service for my cell phone carrier and they agreed that if my phone had inadvertently dialed 911 out, it would have been in my phone log. Anyone dialing in would be in my call log. My cell phone carrier (Verizon) said to block that number as it was a spammer. I ran a virus checker on my LG Ally, but it came up clean. Apparently the spammer's attempt is to get you to push "yes" to the emergency call back.
