Just received a call from this number. She asked me if I was "my name", I said yes. Then she asked my date of birth-and I said "Who is this" answer: "Drew". Who you with? "The State" Next I said what is this about? She said she can't say anything until she has my dob to confirm it was really me. I replied "how do I know you aren't just trying to steal my personal information?" She said "you don't". The offered to send me a letter instead. I said send me a letter then. End of story.

This number called me on 8/24/10 a man named himself John and introduced himself as an employee of a correctional facility asked some questions and hanged up in a rude way in the middle of the conversation. I called that number back and I found out that it was an unused number. fake caller id.

I work with a telephone system here in Salem. This is a valid State of Oregon telephone number. However, most of the outgoing State of Oregon calls are set to this number so that you don't know which individual is calling. We have our phone system set to a standard number (billing number), not the individual's number. We do not want people to call back a specific individual. If the person (or machine) hangs up, it is because they are wishing to speak to an individual, not your answering machine, etc. If you answer the call, you might find out who's calling you. It may be a job offer . . .

My caller ID states it is DAS-State Data. when I called it back I got a message saying the line was disconnected.I did a Google search for DAS-State Data found it to be the department of corrections in Salem OR doing surveys. I have since changed my number to digital service through my cable company.
