Got a call from this number earlier today. Came through as a local number but when in my call history says it’s was from El Salvador… I’m thinking spam

This is the Oregon internal revenue service call back by 3/18

This is a department within Oregon Department of Revenue, they are legit. They dont collect state income debt, but collect other agencies debts including the courts, county corrections, OHSU hospital, schools, and a bunch more agencies. Talk with them otherwise they may enforce their forced collection tools and take part of your paycheck

just saying that I owe the courts money

This unit is a collection agency for all kinds of debt owed to other state agencies (not tax debt), college, OHSU, courts, State agencies, county corrections, state boards, commissions, etc. Take the call, if you dont talk with them they may issue a garnishment against you.

Not spam

This caller is Oregon department of revenue if you owe anything that has to do with Oregon it could be for probation fees, back taxes all sorts of stuff. They are not scammers!! if you have big enough debt you might wish they were scammers but they're not:)

Dont answer. It's not good news and I'm not sure if they are legit. The government does not call to try to collect taxes from a Oregon Department of Revenue number. That would be the IRS and i dont think they would call from an Oregon number. It seems sorta fishy but it could be real. I didn't take time out of my day really to try to figure it out

said they were dept of revenue but I figured more people would have commented so not sure
