You cant get welfare if you're an illegal immigrant and legal residents only get limited benefits. You have to be a U.S. citizen to receive it in full. Get your facts straight. You make yourself look dumb with random information that you haven't fact checked.

The state of Texas is full of s**t!!! The only time you can get service is if you are an illegal immigrant on welfare who makes money under the table without paying taxes. . . I hate our congressmen, state officials, and most other representatives of this state. . . I hope they all burn in*****. . . I get my liscense revoked when I'm sixteen, try to get it fixed nine years later, and ***ody has any type of information on what I need to do. . . F***in Texas ****s a *** ****. . .

My DL has been on hold in Texas and I am trying to get a DL because I moved to Illinois. This has already been a long hassle and it continues to amaze me. This number is crap. It is always busy and something needs to be done. I've already paid my ticket from hick town Texas for my registration being out of date. Showed the officer the sticker of the new one that had not been put up yet and still got a ticket for $260. Made me sick as this number is doing right now. People wonder why others go mad and do crazy things to the gov. Anyways fix this number you have your money so let me leave.

I just returned from Iraq and received a Surcharge Notification for $260. I have not been in Texas for the past two years, my home base is in Alaska. Because of my travel I use my Grand Fathers address to collect my mail.Would you please tell me what this Surcharge is all about. The reference number is HQ8298, my drivers license # is 21120976. I would like to get this resolved ASAP, since I may be going back to Iraq next month. Please send your response back to me through my Grand Fathers Email or his US mail address.Sincerely,Roland J. I just called the Spanish line. A recording said if you are calling about the surcharge payment, call this number: 1-800-688-6882. And the website for the payment is at the following URL: www.txsurchargeonline.com. The English line was busy. Ridiculous.

Had the same problem for 7 days, calling from 9-10AM and from 11-noon every day....Call 1-866-955-5455 and enter liscence# and DOB to get your information. You can even hold to speak with an operator who can give you more information. On a side note, the system was mostly correct but lists only the original charges. IE: If you received a speeding ticket in 2003, the ticket fine and FTA will be announced but if between that time and present, there are new charges or other court fees, these may not appear.

The correct # is: 1-800-686-0570

So I had the same problem. For the past 2 weeks I'm only getting a busy signal. I finally called the Spanish only line and guess what, they picked up on the first ring. I dont speak spanish so I asked the lady to speak english to me and she did and she was very helpful. I think its rediculous that I had to call the spanish line to get someone to help me, then again arent we always catering to the minorities. The spanish line is 512-424-7181. Good luck!

I have been trying to reach them since a week.. Until now... no one responded to the call. A couple of times, I could get into the call.. but when I opted to talk to a rep, it kept me on the line for over 2 hours and on....
