I just got called with this number claiming they were HSBC.

New York numbers are now being hit, area codes 646, 716, 917.  They are posing as HSBC both via voice calls and text messages.  512-610-5000 (Avalar Austin Real Estate) is showing on caller i.d. (spoofed) I just spoke to Buffalo Attorney General's Office, consumer fraud division.  Please call them and report this problem 716-853-8400.  People are calling us back and it has brought our phone system down.  SOMETIMES when you call 512-610-5000 you receive the HSBC recording!  Other times, you will receive our Avalar phone message.  Please know that we are working on this issue with the proper authorities and never give financial information to anyone over the telephone.

just received this call in Manhattan at midnight claiming it was HSBC calling.   We have no relationship with that bank.

this is obvious fraud, i received a phone call from "HSBC" im in brooklyn, and i never had an account with them.

Received this same call a few minutes ago. Duh!!!!!! I don't have an account with that bank!!!!!!!

I got in TN Tues at 7:34 PM Central time - They used Sumner Bank & Trust, a local bank in Sumner COunty

ATTN: area code 330 or Ohio residents - The Ohio Attorney General's Office is requesting you call them if you receive one of these calls. Call them at 1-800-282-0515  They are working with the authorities.

Called me and said my debit card was blocked and press 1.  I hung up and texted my kids and one of them received the call within minutes of me texting them.

We have received this phone twice now. Once late at night. Both recordings thast our credit union debit card islocked and needs reactivated. We don't use credit union. Same exact recording from #5555555555

I go the call at 130am .  I did not recognize it and did nto call   Thanks!

I am an Ohio resident and I also received the same call. It was crazy. It just happened at 10:45

Louisiana and Ohio numbers are now being hit.  They are posing as a credit union both via voice calls and text messages.  512-610-5000 is showing on caller i.d. (spoofed) Call you mobile service provider and report the problem.  I urge you to call your state Attorney General's office, Consumer Protection Division to report the fraud, and the FCC number above.  Beware, don't give any information to these callers!

These people are caller id spoofing our number 512-610-5000 (and others) in an attempt to defraud people.  I have spoken to the FCC.  They recommend you call the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 and also call your State Attorney General's office, Consumer Protection Division to report the fraud.  Beware, don't give any information to these callers!

I am with Avalar Austin Real Estate in Austin, Texas and 512-610-5000 is our phone number.  Someone is spoofing our number, along with spoofing many other different numbers.  So far, they have posed as Suntrust Mortgage, Dade County Credit Union and Wachovia.  These telephone calls are not coming from us.

I receive the same call from a different number linked to a condominium in St. Petersburg Fl. 727 576-9601. The difference is that it was for a credit union and then asked me to press 1 to reactivate it. Then about 2 hours later i receive the same call from 512 610-5000 on my other phone with the same message with the credit union info. This is getting too weird.

Caller (obvious computerized voice) informs me that my Suntrust related credit card was locked.  Asks for credit card number about 30 seconds into call (like they were getting that).
