It was a male, American voice in this instance. My Macy's bill is up to date, so I know it's not a collection call.

Got a mystery call once a day for 4 days. Nobody on the other end. Did a *69. Got 513-573-8739. Called it.Talked to "Chad" from India. "Chad" was working for Macy's Cerdit Card department. "Chad" looked over our account, said "account was current". "Should not have been getting any calls." I said (and this was a position I made up for myself for just this phone call) that "I worked for the Attorney General's office for the State of California and that if I received even just one more call, I would be filing a lawsuit". I felt better about myself.

My husband answered this evening and referred the call to me, since the caller evidently mentioned something about Macy's account. The male caller then wanted to know who I was. I responded by asking who he was and what he wanted. "Mr. Chamberlin" again asked who I was. I told him that since he had called this number, he should have the name of the person with whom he wished to speak. I then hung up. Our Macy's account is current. No problems or payment due. Who ARE these people? Fortunately, this is our house phone, not our cells which have limited minutes.

For the first time in the year we've had our Macy's account, we didn't pay the whole balance. I started receiving the calls from this number about a week ago. They call 2-3 times a day at about the same time each day. My cell phone number is free after 9 pm so I called the number back and I didn't get a company greeting name, but the typical phonetree telling us their number. On weekends I get free minutes so I will try to call back then and try to get off their list. We paid the full balance to our Macy's account, so I think I'll cancel the account. This is more trouble than it's worth.

We played a game where he asked if I was (my name) and I asked what company he was calling from.
