This number has been calling our home phone several times a day for a month now. It will only ring 2 1/2 times, then they hang up. The one time I picked up, they hung up. This morning, they finally left a msg. saying it was Macys calling about a business matter and left this number: 800-545-1256. I know this has to be a scam. It was a male, American voice in this instance. My Macy's bill is up to date, so I know it's not a collection call.

Got a mystery call once a day for 4 days. Nobody on the other end. Did a *69. Got 513-573-8739. Called it.Talked to "Chad" from India. "Chad" was working for Macy's Cerdit Card department. "Chad" looked over our account, said "account was current". "Should not have been getting any calls." I said (and this was a position I made up for myself for just this phone call) that "I worked for the Attorney General's office for the State of California and that if I received even just one more call, I would be filing a lawsuit". I felt better about myself.

These people (513-573-8739) call several times a week. When I pick up the phone they hang up. My husband answered this evening and referred the call to me, since the caller evidently mentioned something about Macy's account. The male caller then wanted to know who I was. I responded by asking who he was and what he wanted. "Mr. Chamberlin" again asked who I was. I told him that since he had called this number, he should have the name of the person with whom he wished to speak. I then hung up. Our Macy's account is current. No problems or payment due. Who ARE these people? Fortunately, this is our house phone, not our cells which have limited minutes.

I get 4 to 6 calls a day, every day; Sundays too. They never leave a message and when I've answered the line is disconnected. I have no bill collectors looking for me and any legitimate caller would leave a message. These calls are clearly scammers. I would never call them back and if I would never give them information.I do not know how to take legal action against them, but I'll find out.

For the first time in the year we've had our Macy's account, we didn't pay the whole balance. I started receiving the calls from this number about a week ago. They call 2-3 times a day at about the same time each day. My cell phone number is free after 9 pm so I called the number back and I didn't get a company greeting name, but the typical phonetree telling us their number. On weekends I get free minutes so I will try to call back then and try to get off their list. We paid the full balance to our Macy's account, so I think I'll cancel the account. This is more trouble than it's worth.

Been calling my house up to 4 times a day for a month now. I don't answer the phone for anyone I do not know. I have never shopped at Macy's online or in person and never will considering the bs calling at early am and late pm. I finally got so fed up and called the 513-573-8739 and talk to a guy from India. He couldn't even find my number in the system. He said he would write a note to take me off the list. They also have the number 727-566-5772 which keeps calling my house non stop for 2 months now. I called the 727 and talked to an American guy. He asked my number and name. He couldn't find me in the system either. He said he was going to take it into the office and ask I be taken off. Both guys were polite to me. Hopefully they get me off the list and I can put my ringer back on. If I keep getting calls. I will be posting again. If you have a Macy or Bloomingdales account. You may have a late bill. That's the impression I got from the ordeal. That's all I know.. Don't ever never ever give personal info over the phone. Like NO Credit Card info, social security number, drivers license ect. If you do have an outstanding bill with someone. Call the company and take it up with them directly. I have been receiving calls from these people for YEARS. They ask for a "Vil Hermia" or something. I told them to stop calling and that it isn't that person's number. They stopped calling for a month or so. Then after a month they start calling again. Then i tell them again to take me off the call list. Then after a few months they call again. They never told me who they were, they just said "it was an important business call". They call every day, almost 2 times a day, WHILE I AM AT WORK! I am sick of these people, I am NOT Vil Hermia, I do NOT have a Macy's account.

I asked for his name, and he identified himself as Mr. Richardson. Sounded like a guy in his early 20's. We played a game where he asked if I was (my name) and I asked what company he was calling from. This went on for over a minute until I changed from my "confused old man" voice to my "outraged dude" voice and told him it was my phone and I ask the questions. Then, I hung up on him. So there.

She wanted my Macy's account number after I told her I was not comfortable sharing that information, she wanted my home number so she could pull up the information for me. Again I said no.
