The person is scamming by going on a dating website called Silver Singles and asking for itunes cards. Sending photos of a female and using the name Portia Brown. This person may be a male or female who claims that her husband had died in an auto accident two years ago. Said she is originally from Des Moines, IA and lived in Grand Prairie, TX for the past 17 years before her husband died in an auto accident. Photo of a female dressed as a three star general in the U.S. Army who is supposedly a nurse, deployed to Afghanistan for the past eight months and that she would return to the States on Aug. 29th Also requesting funds to assist a supposedly sick daughter using the email address: [email protected] and funds should be sent through Paypal or a cashier's check Also using this phone number 515-428-2330 to text.

Contacted on Silver Singles ask for my number to text me directly. Sent a text ask how long I had been on site, said their membership was expiring that day. Going by Portia still logged on at Silver Singles. Did as for a iTunes Card, said Daughter is with Cousin in Massachusetts. Thankfully I decicided to lookup the number. Definitely a Scammer.

Actually, she isn't just stating it, they have forged a UN military ID showing it on the ID including pay ID and such. Also, has supposedly a daughter and family in South Florida area. She I suspect, but could be a man using a real woman's pictures and such. Conversations sound more like a man at times than a military medical doctor. They are going for larger amounts at times.
