Spam phone call, called after 8 pm CST. I am on the DNC list and I do not take phone calls from unsolicited spammers. Next time someone calls me to try and sell me something, and is too chickensh*t to leave a message, and uses my cell phone number where it costs ME money, I am going to start spamming them. I just called the number back and they claim to be Mediacom, but it went straight to a person who instantly tried to talk to me. He like, picked up the phone and went straight into some script. I've never called Mediacom and gotten a person before - always you get a machine/computer first. I am a Mediacom customer already, so this is ridiculous to alienate someone who already uses their services. As soon as they answered the call, they went into their sales spiel, so even when you call THEM to tell them to bug off, they try to spam you. Told them they were rude and inappropriate and I was on the DNC list and it was irresponsible to call people's cell phones when it costs US money. Told them to leave me alone from now on. BTW, it is possible that this is some kind of a scam because it didn't sound like any Mediacom phone line I've ever called (for service OR sales) before. Hope this helps but this # is SPAM, SPAM, SPAM. And don't bother to call them, they'll just spam you more (and I would AVOID giving ANY personal information to these people). If they say they are from Mediacom, just hang up on them and call Mediacom YOURSELF directly, at least then you know you are getting the real company and not a scammer trying to steal your info.
