I attended the event of Roussis International last night, Dec. 29, 2009. I was very disappointed because I thought I was going there for an interview. I later found out it was more like a seminaire, so when I mention that word, I was told it was because the number of people that showed they had to have this type of setting. I also learned that the majority of the people that was there...where part of the program. The letter I received was false advertising. They didn't call me I received an email, stating that this was a second email, NOT TRUE.

All of you people on this blog are nuts. You post your resume on a job board and when someone contacts you and asks if you would like to come to an open house and find out about a career opportunity in financial services, you decide it must be a scam without even going to hear what it is about. If you were out on a public street and someone tried to hand you a hundred dollar bill with no strings attached, you would conclude that they were trying to pass you counterfeit money. And anyone that lets complete strangers advise you as to what is a scam and what isn't is the stupidest of all, and would certainly fail the interview process anyway.

well now that last post just does it for me...It is exactly like mine. The end.

Guys....this is PRIMERICA (AL Williams)...been around for quite some time. It's basically selling financial services, life insurance, etc. I checked them out over 20 years ago back in the midwest and decided to take a pass. I've been contacted several times with the same M.O. via phone and email. Depending on the market you're in, the names and numbers vary.Just got one today: READ BELOWHi. Today I received a call from this guy, CORRECT SPELLING: JIANN LEE. He told me this position entailed personal finance and that they were supposedly moving to Haupaugge, NY. He mentioned an interview next week at 7:30pm, but it is too good to be true. There were absolutely no details and he said to bring four character references. Rotten apples.

I received a call about 2 hours ago from a man named John Lee. He was calling Roussis International in reference to my resume, which was "referred" to him by some unnamed person. He never mentioned anything about the job he was calling in referrence to so I figured something was up. I also never heard of this company, but figured since I apply to so many jobs that maybe it just slipped my mind. I decided to do a little research before I call back and came upon this page where my suspicions were validated. He called from 631-361-6487, and gave me his direct number at 516-946-7747 by the way. Thanks for the heads up everyone.

I actually got an email from a Scott Reber" and had basically the same stories told from the phone number soliciting. Sounded fishy and just before replying to the email I just took a chance to research the company name of Roussis Financial Services. Thanks for all of your posts to warn others about this bogus job offer! You really helped me and I will continue to pay it forward...THANKS!

Hummm! I got a call from this guy - John Lee from Roussis International today with the impression of getting my number from my resume and scheduled me for interview tomorow. He called me with a 631-361-6487 number and gave me his number to be 516-946-7747 to contact him when I arrive for the interview. I decided to check this company out on the net and get ready as usual for the interview. He also asked me to bring four names and phone numbers of my references for the interview. After reviewing the company's site and these scam reports, I conluded that this is a scam and decided to report it. The job is even to good to be through for leadership position in Roussis International. I also found out that they have ties with Primerica. Please beware!!!
(516) 946-7747
I did a reverse lookup on the office number and direct number that John Lee left on my voicemail and found that it went to a Primerica office. John said that he was calling from Roussis International. I recently posted my resume on Monster.com, which is one method I believe they are using to recruit people. Do a search on "Primerica Scam" and you will find more information on this. Thanks to everyone else for providing information on this.

This guy John Lee Calls me, i go for the "interview" which is really a group session. I fill out this form with the information they requested, on one line it asks for references so i put my former supervisors in case he would like to check them. Tell me why he call them to recruit them and not even bring my name up, he told my supervisor that he found her resume online which was complete BS. this company is extremely shady. DONT FALL FOR IT!!!

I received a call from John Lee today. He is at 516-946-7747. He called my wife and said he got my number and thought we might be able to work together. My wife had no idea what it was about, and took a message. I subsequently called about 4o times, and no one answered the phone. He's clearly soliciting.
