They are calling from a computer. AT&T said it is like a virus on your phone. Each time they call me they are using a different number but it always begins with 884. 884 extensions are in East Lansing. I am considering calling the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). The telephone company said that this was called spooning. Just don't answer the telephone

This number is apparently not "real" attempts to return calls to identify this number fail as if the number does not exist. Caller ID indicates Michigan State University, but the exchange... first 3... is wrong. There are only two legitimate exchanges for the University and neither of them are 844.People should be careful of this. It would not be the first scam call to come at me with a false caller ID... which is easy to do by the way.FYI The legitimate exchanges are 355 and 432 in the area code 517.These people must assume that nobody graduated from their or has not kept up with things....Ian Babcock MSU class of 1987
