Currently waiting for the "check" and thought I'd google the email just to check. Too bad, really thought it was just an old woman who needed assistance. Thought it was weird when they turned down our offer to deliver for $25.

Craigslist scam! Buyer wanted to purchase an item and send extra $ to pay a mover ( b/c of her age and covid she would hire a mover she trusts to pick up). A week later apologized for the delay due to daughter getting married and that the check was sent - provided a tracking #. followed up when check arrived and insisted movers be paid immediately, so it could be picked up. Bottom line = SCAM!
