Actually, they are calling on behalf of the Roanoke Valley Professional Firefighters (RVPFF). The RVPFF is comprised of International****ociation of Fire Fighters Locals from Salem, Roanoke City, Roanoke County, and Vinton. The Locals are Chapters of the IAFF for each of the Localities and are Organizations for the Professional Firefighters in each. The fund raising is legitimate and you can find out more information here: http://www.rvpff.com.

This is a solicitation call from a company called roanoke valley professional. they are suppposed to be soliciting on behalf of VA fire departments in general. they should not be soliciting on behalf of any specific fire dept as they may represent. only a portion of donations go to fire departments. if you want to donate, go to or call your local fire department. that will ensure that they get all of your donation, not just 40%. they call from a multiline autodial system so it takes a few sec for the person to pick up. wait a few sec then when they finally get on the line, tell them not to call anymore. they represented themselves as calling for Salem Fire dept and salem did not hire a company to call for them, the company is just using local names.CALL NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST FROM CELL & HOME PHONES 1-888-382-1222. IT TAKES ABOUT 30 DAYS TO FULLY ACTIVATE.
