This man has also called and threatened me, at home and at work. He says that i owe 653.00.I tried to ask about detail and he refuses and just said may god help me.what did you do?

Man called me same story..i claimed bankrupcy to get a fresh s**** cause i had a few credit cards and was out of work. After the bankrupcy was dischargedi was so happy i just s****ed working and am at a great place. Then this man calls a***n about the payday loan from 2 yrs ago..seriously i feel like im always looking over my shoulder i told him about the bankrupcy and gave him my attorneys number and he just ***g up on me! Guess he figured i was too smart to pay him.

If you find out how to take care of them please let me know..Ive called the better business bureau, the attorney general and an attorney. They all said not to pay!

Keep threating me with court unless I pay them but wont tell me what it is I owe for.

I got this call for the first time today. I had payday loans, paid back. have one currently out now paying on...2 more weeks and done. not in default. this guy said he was Lance Martin, didn't leave any info on the message except for my name and saying i need an attorney to call him back, if i don't, he used the creepy voice to say "wish you...........good luck"he repeated the number 3 times. very creepy, very scary message. i saved the message just in case. can someone stop this. who is this guy? he sounds like a homicidal maniac!

John Robinson.... spoke with a thick accent and extremely s-l-o-w! He informed me (from what I could understand) that I best return his call or have a legal representative return his call as soon as possible. Same "good luck" message at the end with a HUGE pause before he repeated the phone number 3 times. Really creepy voice!

It's likely that the company from which you got a payday loan through has somehow leaked your personal information. Being that the only common factor that I have seen is that the only people getting the calls are people who have received payday loans. I would check with the company that you got your payday loan through and if I were you I'd be a little ****ed off that personal information of this nature has fallen into the wrong hands.

I just received a call and had the wonderful same message.  This is pretty freaky to know these ******'s are out there.  I hope they get caught.  Who would I report it too?  Local police?

Yes I took out a payday loan, but I paid it back. If anything, the loans if defaulted will go to a collection agency and those guys have no accents. My only worry is he or she might call the place of work. If they do, I am just going to tell them at work, it is a scam. These people are determined to get money somehow.

My mother received the same call, I'm trying to see if there are any similarities between the cases of people receiving the calls. Has anyone taken out a payday loan recently or purchased anything via paypal or on ebay? I don't need any information other than yes or no. Also it has been confirmed that this is in fact a scam so do not give out any personal information or confirm any of the information he might have. Thank you

I just got the same phone call. He blurted out my social and said there was a legal matter a***nst me. He had a very heavy accent. I am just going to ignore the phone call.

Yea, same guy same accent, said either me or my lawyer had best call him.. or all he can say is "good luck"

Got a call from this number. His name was Robert Keith and said he was from the Federal Department.

I just recieved the same call, same accent, same "may God help you". The guy said his name was Lance Martin and s****ed telling me that I was gonna ba prosecuted, but was hard to understand w/ his accent and alot of background noise. I told him several times that I couldn't understand him, and finally he said "You can't understand me, F*ck you" and then ***g up on me.

I got the same kind of call.  He has left me two voice males.  He never says who he is working for, or why he is calling.  He just says I need to call him back and if I don't "God Help Me"!  I'm not going to worry about it anymore.

I got this same call, it happened 3 times this year and they all have the same accent,  (it sounds like the same man all 3 times) I got testy with him and told him I didn't accept any payday loan and there for I wasn't paying him any money!  He told me that he wasn't asking me for any money he just wanted to verify my address for the legal do***ents to be sent to and he told me he would see me in court on Monday!  I called the state police and they told me it was a scam and they are from other states and they are not going to fly up here and arrest me.  So I quit worring about it, I went and c****ed my bank account and everything any way for my own piece of mind.

voice message from this number initially said his name was Robert Keith (I think, acent was very difficult to understand).  Called the number and spoke to a stephen johnson.  Said he was from federal credit lawfirm.   Threatening me with jail because I am a criminal and stealing money from a payday loan company that I never paid back.  I am going to jail as well as my co-consipriter, and God help you.I cannot find anything on this company and all my payday loans were paid off a while ago, he knew the last 4 of my social, address, workplace and bank name.  super scary!  he was very rude and refused to give me any information other than to tell me I was going to go to jail for not paying back a payday loan.  fees are now in the $6000 range and needed to pay the s****ing initial fee of $603.24!  He  would not give me his company's address or a supervisor name or any other details.I think this is a scam, will wait to see if I get anything in the mail.  I did not give him any information and argued with him that he was mistaken the whole time.  Anyone else have this happen?
