It's the Kaiser Refill line. Not spam.
(562) 401-5940
It is a legitimate Kaiser number. The calls can range from letting you know a refill you ordered has been mailed, a message from your doctor, the pharmacy center telling you the refill you requested can not be refilled, an appointment you need to make, etc., etc., etc. Can be anything so DO call back because after all it's in regard to keeping you in good health. =P

I received this automated message identifying itself as "Kaiser" but then it asked me to enter in my medical record # and birth date. After confirming "This medical record number belongs to...Diana" but with no last name, I quickly hung up fearing it was a telephone scam looking for birth date info and the like. I haven't refilled any prescriptions recently or made any appointments. It seemed fishy. So I called Kaiser to ask if it was a legitimate number - good news: it is. It's their automated messaging center, which means that it handles a variety of call types. The operator was able to patch me through to the messaging center so I could listen to the message I missed. It turned out to be a generic "Did you know women die from cervical cancer? Please remember to make your Pap/Women's Health appointment" service reminder. Nothing to be too concerned about, and it is nice of Kaiser to call me about such things. However, in the future, I really wish they'd just send me an email or refrain from sending automated calls that sound like phone scams.

This number has called me three times in the last three days, but has not left a message of any kind. I generally don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize.

This is KAISER giving a Courtesy call to all Georgia members about the upcomming Free Flu Shots that they will be offering this Saturday, October 9. They are not a telemarketer and if you are not a Kaiser member and received a call from this number, they probably have your phone number in their database by mistake.
(562) 401-5940
I do not have Kaiser so this is an odd call.
(562) 401-5940
Just wondering why caller ID just said "California call" and not "Kaiser". I would have picked up had I known it was Kaiser. I use the mail pharmacy all the time, and they do call to tell you it has been mailed, but usually the phone calls are identified as Kaiser.
(562) 401-5940
its a recording from Kaiser, they only call when you have a pharmacy item coming in the mail, to let you know its on the way. I usually get these a day after the drugs arrive lol
(562) 401-5940
Thanks people. I just placed a refill order with Kaiser recently and I got this call on my cell while at work and it made me jump (my ringer was on LOUD). I muted my phone but I didn't answer, instead I promptly googled the number and landed here. I just checked the VM and it was indeed Kaiser letting me know "a prescription you recently ordered has been mailed to your address". I didn't really need a courtesy call but it's certainly not telemarketing.
(562) 401-5940
I always place my prescription order to the mail order pharmacy. I think this is their courtesy call to let me know that my med is on its way.
(562) 401-5940
This call, like many have already said, if to inform you that your medication has shipped and that your credit card has been charged! :)This is NOT a telemarketing call. This is a service provided by Kaiser as a COURTESY.
(562) 401-5940
Thank everyone who took the time to report who the call was from. It was all I needed to know to about the call this am with no message left. I did place an on-line refill order with Kaiser 3 days ago..I am not sure why the automated message did not get left on my voice mail. The answers left on this and other sites are sometimes worth a quick search!
(562) 401-5940
Call was from Kaiser, letting me know that my medication was shipped. And left a voice message.
(562) 401-5940
The point of Kaiser's calls from this number is inform that a prescription has been mailed, as requested. This allows the recipient to know when to expect the prescription and also helps prevent loss of prescriptions in areas where mailbox theft occurs. It's an automated call. For me delivery by mail is always my preference. Amazingly, more often than not, when I request a refill on Kaiser's pharmacy website before noon on Saturday, it arrives with the noon mail on Monday, only 50 hours later! Is it perhaps the case that all pharmacies are now legally bound to inform whenever prescription medications have delivered been mailed? It seems likely and wise.
(562) 401-5940
i received a call from this number just to let me know my prescription was in the mail. I love not having to drive to a pharmacy I'm so busy and my meds come straight to my home.
(562) 401-5940
I got a call from Kaiser Pharmacy (5/12/08) and when I asked to be removed from their call list I was rudely told "No, I will not take you off our list!" I wish I had asked to speak to a supervisor, but I hung up.
