Wanted to buy dresser but wasn’t in town and said he’d send an extra 100 for me told hold and a cashiers check. Would also send a mover the next day.

Same as above commenter where they offered to buy an item but were out of town and would send movers plus pay $100 extra to hold the item until then.

This person tried to scam me on Craig’s list. Wanted to overnight a cashiers check (which can take 2-3 weeks to fully clear my bank), was “not in town” and unable to pick up my item (chandelier) , would send a mover who would pick it up “tomorrow or next day”. English was poor in texts. When I read Seller Beware comments from Craig’s list, everything that happened to me today is exactly what a scam profile looks like. When I asked (all via texting) what his/her name was, answer was “Saint Mary”. That’s when I ended text conversation.
