Received a letter asking for money, $122.66, for an order I never placed. This number was included in the letter, (608)324-4088. It was written on Montgomery Ward letterhead. It also included a perforated detachable invoice to send along with payment. The letter also included a Montgomery Ward envelope to send my payment in with. Total SCAM!

I received a letter stating that I needed to send payment to finalize an order that I placed. I did not ever place an order with them. The letter also said if I didn't place this order to call this number, which I will not do. Contrary to some of the comments here, Montgomery Ward is still in business as an online retailer only, however the letter is a scam.

This number is supposedly for Montgomery Ward - who has been out of business for many years. Paperwork looks very official but requesting money to process order (which we never made - the company is out of business!), credit card information, Social Security number, etc.
