this number keeps calling my house. if I answer, there is never anybody there

608-362-5721 (Ervin Cathen on caller ID) called me while I was on the other line. When I dropped my first call(call waiting system)and answered this number there was no one on the line. Within 30 seconds I called this same number back... when it picked up there were sounds of automated phone rings, a prerecorded message in a woman's voice saying, "The phone number you have reached is no longer in service." then more sounds of phones ringing. It was not the usual sound of the phone company's pre-recorded messages but seeminly an atempt to 'sound-like' the phone company's message. It's some company phishing perhaps for any and all the reasons they do so. I'm assuming it's all part of a marketing game... probably bullshilt smoke and mirror double talk to achieve a result that benefits potential sales.                             I'm even on the do not call list so... I suppose listing the number in a person's name they leagally are able to call!I just goggled in the name Ervin Cathen and found this on another website dealing with these type of calls ( http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-608-362-5721 )and I found that this same number at one time used the name Catherine Ervin so this is surely as marketing game of a scam. They too believe it is a Tele-Marketer. I phoned it 10 minutes after I received it and the recording states that this number has been disconnected.

Caller ID showed this number.  I returned the call, got a few beeps and then a pre-recorded message saying the number had been disconnected.  All within 10 minutes of receiving the call initially on Caller ID. Hmmmm.

Multiple calls missed, listed as Unknown on cell phone

Got dead air.
