I called the main Allina business office. (I'd set up a payment plan with this number but then got nervous that I'd fallen for a scam)After calling Allina directly, I learned that this number IS one of their numbers, and the lady in the main Allina billing office had access to all the information I'd given to the other lady the day before. If you are contacted by this number, it usually means that your bill has been passed from their main billing office into the Allina collections office. (It's still in-house, but it's a step past the main office.)There had been some confusion as to our billing address, but after working with the two different departments, we got things figured out.

Allina/United Hospital of St. Paul left message to return call at 612-262-9000. Called the number back, sat on hold for a while waiting for "next available customer service rep". They were calling me looking for insurance information from my recent stay at United Hospital to have my gallbladder removed. No big deal....would rather give them the info than get a large bill in the mail!
