A woman named Gracie left me a message - heavy indian accent threatening me with legal action and that i needed to hire an attorney. Left this message on my voice mail - so I have proof. :-) anyway - I called back and spoke to a man with a very very thick indian accent who told me he represented American Cash Company who owns over 1700 payday loan companies and that I had defaulted on a payday loan. He was unable to give me the information on who and a phone number to contact them to find out the details. Said I had been contacted 14 times to try and collect - which I had never, ever been contacted. Then said he would be filing a lawsuit with the state attorney general tomorrow and that my local sherrif would be there to arrest me with an arrest warrent at my place of work tomorrow at 11am. We called the Sherrif - they do NOT arrest for civil cases - which is what this would be. This is nothing more than a scam according to my local Sherrif's office.
