I received an unsolicited text to my private mobile phone. A person provided their first name (Josephine) and indicated she is with a large search and job placement firm. Told me a few things about the open position, then asked for my age, current job, and WhatsApp number. Very weird as most recruiters use LinkedIn messages to contact individuals and provide a last name. I couldn't find her listed in LinkedIn under the company name she provided, the job she mentioned was not listed in the company job openings, and the phone number (this one) she texted from hasn't been****ociated with ANY person ever. Lastly, I am unaware of any company in the U.S. that asks for a WhatsApp number. Has to be a total scam.
