I've been getting calls on my cell phone every day. No one is on the line when I answer. It turns out it's Environment New York, a group which I signed a petition for. I called months ago and took myself off their list. But this is recent. I called back and got a message saying to enter my phone number to be taken off their phone list. I did so. Hopefully that will work.

Environmental group in New York State trying to get money from you. Not a scam but when they approach you on the street they just ask you to sign a petition. Then the money asking begins with email and calls. The problem with this group is they are uninformed and are actually playing into the hands of big oil. If you give them money you're throwing it away. Give to better causes that are important to you. If it happens to be the environment find a small NPO doing alt energy.
