This number is****ociated with a collection agency. The collection agency has been using ***dreds of different numbers originating from many different states. I receive calls from this collection agency daily anywhere from 1 to 4 times a day 6 days a week. Seldom does a day go by that I do not receive a call from the collection agency. No calls come in on Sundays. Calls come in as early as 6:30 AM and as late as 8:45 PM. I answer maybe 1 call a month which happens unintentionally. The number that they call in on, for some very oddly strange reason, is very similar to the last phone call that I answered or placed that day. When I do answer a number****ociated to the collection agency there is seldom anyone on the other end and the only thing I hear is a click. When I have answered and a real person is on the other end of the line they do not identify themselves and never have, The person knows everything about me including SSN and DOB and place of employment. I refuse to answer their questions or even give them my name. I ask them who is calling and they adamantly refuse to answer, The calls have in the past become very heated and name calling was not unusual. I **** up. Other times it is as if a robot is on the other end or someone is using pre recorded dialog and attempting to provoke me to respond with anger. The phone calls have been constant for more than 6 years. I have researched this collection agency on line and I have come to the conclusion that I need to contact the office of my attorney general. I need to check out with them any legal recourse that I might have. In the meantime I just keep recording when the calls happen, the numbers and the dates of the calls. I have never received a text from any of the calls attached to the collection agency and there is no telemarketing happening.
