Got a door dash order for 9.99 froze my card and will get a new one
Claimed to be w/ merchant services, calling about overbilling (left voicemail). Checked my merchant account then called them back. Ironically, same person that left vm prior day answered the phone. Asked them what company they were with or represent, asked 3x's before they said they were with the "hotel side"...he guessed the wrong industry. Complete scammer trying to phsish for personal info.
Said my merchant services account had been red-flagged, that there had notices on my statements since October to "clear it up." Did I fill in my yearly survey? There is no note on my statements and there is no yearly survey. Claimed that "due to regular rate increases," I was overpaying credit card fees and she could get that rate down for me.
