I want them to stop calling the office - not interested in talking to them.
(678) 809-6046 - July 9th, 2011 4:00am
Apparently none of the people on this thread can read very well. It sounds as if the company protocol is only to talk with the owner, period. Since it is possible that the person who answers the phone, may be the very person who is stealing from the company. Therefore they would have a motive not to put the call through to the owner. Secondly, they want to explain the product to the owner themselves, not have the gatekeeper say to their boss "hey there is some telemarketer on the phone trying sell some junk". I get calls also, big deal. What is everybody so angry about, heck your job is to answer the phone, if you cannot do that simple task, politely and respectfully maybe you should get another job. It seems many of you can't handle any real pressure, if answering an unwanted and unsolicited phone call upsets you so much, I would hate see you people under any real pressure.

Thank you Jessica. That is my rule of thumb. If it is important, they will leave a message or attempt to let me help them if the owner is unavailable.
(678) 809-6046 - June 29th, 2011 4:00am
First, whether I work for the company is irrelevant. But, for the record I'm familiar with the owners of this company. I've managed several telemarketing companies, worked as campaign manager, written numerous scripts for countless campaigns, so I'm certainly familiar with the business. As to the rudeness, I cannot comment unless I heard the recordings first, for all I know, you may have been as rude, if not ruder. But that is no excuse for those telemarketers to have responded in a rude way. Under my supervision they would be fired. With regards to office managers having the same power to make a purchase as the owner, sorry that's very rare indeed. While at times they may have some input and the ability to veto, at the end of the day, the owner makes the final decision 99.99% of the time. Sales is a numbers game, so you play the odds, not the 1 in 1000 exception. This company is over 18 years old, why? They make the best product, provide the longest guarantee and provide the best service on the market today. What you've seen in spy movies, this company was doing 5 years ago. I'm sorry your experience wasn't a good one, I know they strive for the highest standards, but when you make 35,000 calls a week mistakes are made, and trust me, people are fired. Have a great day!!

Just one problem with your answer & you so obviously work for the company. We have had three calls today from the company with 3 different callers & 3 rude callers. Office managers often have the same purchasing power as the owner & the same veto power too.
(678) 809-6046 - June 29th, 2011 4:00am
As with any business, sometimes I'm sure telemarketers are rude when they shouldn't be. There are bad apples in every business. I'm sure some business owners field their own calls, but if they don't mention that to the telemarketer, they don't know who they are talking to, do they? Frankly most people are very nice, they say who they are, explain why they may not need a system, and that's the end of it. I would say if you make 400 calls in a day, 6-8 might be angry (at most), we don't care really. If a person ****s up, great, we move on to the next call, if they don't answer it rings 5-6 times and we move on to the next call, if the person puts you on hold, it's a welcome break and after 30 seconds of relaxing, we move on to the next call, if the person freaks out, yells, screams, and swears, we move on, who cares. Maybe they,re having a bad day, and belittling somebody else makes them feel better, that's just sad, for them that is. Bottom Line, no harm is intended, everybody is just doing their job, without malice. Have a great day!!

Three statistic are worth mentioning" 1) According to the FBI 64% of armed robberies are committed by current or former employees. 2) The FBI states that 44% of so called honest employees admitted to to stealing money, product or time (by goofing off ) 3) According to "Retail Management Magazine 83% of employees steal. So clearly the security company doesn't want to tip off what may be a dishonest employee why they are calling. Doesn't that make sense? Add to that, only an owner can make the final decision, and write a check for the system. It's not personal it's business. You just sound angry and irrational. Your post is simply unsupported name calling with accusations you can't back up with facts. As to your first "rule of thumb" about identifying who the company is, that been clearly explained.
(678) 809-6046 - June 27th, 2011 4:00am
I believe he must work for this very rude company. He fits right in with the person that just called us. The woman was unduly rude and refused to give a call back #. We have caller ID. All calls from the number in the future will go unanswered. Jessica is 100% right sometimes the "businessowner" is trying to field the call themselves. You don't always have the "receptionist". When a company is rude & pushy on the phone, we know we do not want to do business with them.
(678) 809-6046 - June 27th, 2011 4:00am
You must work there, SCAM ARTIST. You might want to keep in mind that the person answering the phone is not always an idiot receptionist. Sometimes the OWNER actually answers and is fishing for information before they put their name out there. Some advice: GET A REAL JOB and quit harrassing and wasting business owner's time. If they wanted a security system, they would call a REPUTABLE company to come out and install it. First rule of thumb: if you were really calling for so****ing important you would have NO PROBLEM identifying yourself and letting the person answering the phone who you are.

First the company name is Sentry, not Century, it's a common mistake. Second, they only want to talk with an owner, president, CEO or General manager, not the gatekeeper. Why? Because only they can make a business decision, and write a check. You can't, and it's a waste of time They are a security company, and since 83% of employees steal...according "Retail Management Magazine"...you might be the one who is stealing, they can't talk with you, company protocol. Often the gatekeeper will say the owner isn't interested, how do they know that? You answer the phone, your not hired to make managerial decisions that might involve the financial stability of the company. Companies don't last over 18 years without a good business plan, and a top notch product.
(678) 809-6046 - June 22nd, 2011 4:00am
These people keep calling our office like 3 times a day. The caller ID says "SSI" and they say they are from Century, which, after much back & forth snipes, they finally divuldged that they are some type of loss-prevention business. I told them that this doesn't apply to us and to please quit calling but still they continue daily to harass us.
(678) 809-6046 - June 15th, 2011 4:00am
That is the Law, only the owner can ask to be removed from the list. Business to business calls are NOT covered under the do not call law. While it may be annoying, look at it this way. If that is the worst thing that ever happens in your life...you receive an unsolicited and unwanted call...you'll truly have a blessed life. So stop the whining, after all if every call that came in was for the owner to do business, you would be out of of a job, wouldn't you? Remember two rules:1) only sweat the big things 2) There are no big things. Have a great day!!

A lady from Century called requesting the owner I advised her she couldnt call on our Customer Service Line requesting the owner and I advised we wished to be taken off of their list , she replied only the owner could do that she needed to hear that from them, said she will call back later and ***g up. I called back and spoke with a Allen and he was a manager I guess and he also stated that they would not stop calling until they spoke with a manager , I advised I was an authorized agent with the company from the owner to request that they not call and he refused to accept that ... I will be calling the police to file harrassment calls from them if they call a***n.
