Don't pickup,****hole call
(701) 661-1008
I think it's UN-AMERICAN to outsource to other countries, but most especially to middle eastern workers. I think it's quite obvious how much they hate us, so I don't really think it's smart to give out our private information to them. When I hear that accent, I just hang up. If more folks would refuse to do business with them, then perhaps outsourcing would fail. Keeping America Ours!!!!

I got a call from 7016611008. It was an auto-dialer. When I answered, the recording was a pitch to lower the interest rates on all my existing credit cards and a request to press 1 for more information or press 2 if not interested. I pressed 2 and was immediately transferred to a live operator with a heavy middle eastern accent. I could hear the chatter of a boiler room in the background. "Kevin" said he worked for a financial consulting services company that handled the transactions between consumers and their credit card companies. Since I had been paying on time and had a balance over $3500 dollars they were prepared to reward me by lowering the interest rates on all my cards to 6% for as long as I was an active card holder and made my payments on time. I told him I had just asked my bank to lower my rate but they refused. Kevin said that was because that's how the banks make their money. Kevin wanted to know the expiration date of my card beginning with the number 4. I said I didn't know who he was and ask for the name of his company. He responded with another description of what his company did and when I persisted he said the name of the company was Financial Consultant Services. I said I didn't trust him and ask how they made their money. He said that I was protected under the Consumer Protection Act and that he couldn't take anything from my account without the security code on the back and my full social security number. He asked again for the expiration date. This time I gave it to him. He then asked for the full account number on my card starting with the number 4 for verification purposes. I said I was unwilling to give that to him and offered to give the last 4 digits for verification. He said he needed the full thing. I said I didn't trust him. He then got his "supervisor" on the line who repeated the same reassurances and requests for my account number. I said I wasn't willing to give it to him. He began to raise his tone and talk faster (he also had a pronounced accent), saying he was offering to save me money on interest rates and that I could either take it or leave it. I said I would leave it and he said "okay then, hang up". I stayed on the line and as he moved the microphone away from his mouth he yelled "f***ing a**hole". Then the line went dead. While we were talking I googled Financial Consultant Services scam but nothing matched what I was experiencing. I then googled 7016611008, the phone number captured by my caller ID and ended up here.

got a call from this number, busy signal when I answer
(701) 661-1008
Received the call at 2:15 pm answered it and all it did was start ringing like I was calling someone and then I was disconnected. Do not know what the possible purpose of the call could have been other than someone trying to gain use of our telephone line.

Called our house this morning ... left message saying that they were calling about our credit card accounts (no specific account) and that nothing was wrong, but it was URGENT that they speak with us about lower our rates down to 6% and that we should "press 1 to speak with a live operator." Looking up the number, it is a cell phone in North Dakota.
