S****ed NV Energy Number: My advice to everyone is to never dial what looks like a valid number when it is listed in an unsolicited text or email and never trust the Caller ID when receiving an unexpected phone call. The NV Energy number in a text or email might just be disguise. If you click it you very well might be dialed through to an Impostor, not the real NV Energy. Always dial the number of a company through your contact list or by using your keypad. If you can’t afford to have and maintain aggressive Call Screening/Blocking technology on your phone, then at least don’t feel obligated to answer the phone just because you hear it ringing! Unless you are at work and being paid to answer a company phone, you are not obligated to answer! If you are not 100% sure about a call just ignore it, let it go to voicemail, and do some common sense screening at that point. If the caller don’t leave a voicemail, that might be first red flag! DO NOT answer your phone immediately just because you hear it ringing. If you **** up on a scammer that validates the fact that the scammer got to you in the first place. The best defense is to make it impossible for the scammer to get through!

S****ed: I appears that the scammers are s****ing the NV Energy number in order to appear legit. Someone tried to call me from this number and I was protected by ROBO****ER. If that was the real NV Energy, a Voicemail would have been left. What the scammer was hoping was that I was the type of person who just answers the phone because it rings! I had the scammer beat. My phone is set to silence unknown callers until they pass screening by ROBO****ER!
